Now stands on its own with a kickstand I took off of a little foldable bike or something.

Here it is, all welded out. I think the only thing left to do is patina up the shiny tubing to match the rest of the scooter a bit better.

I've got some mounted on a Nexus 3 speed, but you didn't say what type of hub.

Added a set of taller bars that I had in the parts pile. Much more comfortable to ride. In fact, even though it's only tacked together, I've been kicking this thing all over the neighborhood.

I've had this 24" step-through Schwinn Spitfire for several years, and this kids 12" scooter longer. Neither are worth very much, and neither have parts that I've needed on other builds. A couple of years ago, there was a bit of a scooter revival, and I even built a few for others, but...

Love flipped bikes. The stance is always much improved from the original.
