    'Bottoms up'

OK, I'm in. I was going to sit this one out, but why not. Picked up this 26" cruiser Mixte parts bike a while back.I stripped the goodies off, leaving me a frame and fork. I grabbed it out today and did a quick mock up to see how it might look. Flipped frame like last year's Caps!ze. A Sachs...

    Electra build

Swapped out a stack of parts on the Electra. Makes a nice klunker. 26x2.4s, b17 Brooks, Moto bars, bear traps. May add a front drum and refit the 3 speed rear coaster in the future

    Redline ST20 restoration

I got this Redline when I was 7. Over the years it's been raced, abused as teenage transportation, neglected, then cleaned up a few years ago. I wasn't happy with the chrome, and many of the components were a bit sad. But I didn't want to commit to ditching the chrome. But I finally decided...

    Beach cruiser to BMX

I was lucky with this frame already having a euro bottom bracket and three peice cranks. I'm currently going from opc to three peice redline flight cranks on my 84 Redline, I'm using a kit very much like the one Pestcontrol02 posted above.

    GTHOtrod's Hot finds

I've stripped it down for the hub, cranks and forks. Stashed aside for later on. See what we can do with it😁

    GTHOtrod's Hot finds

Scored this 26 inch wheelset. Sachs drum front, with coaster brake (5 speed?) Sachs rear hub. Unfortunately didn't come with the shifter.

Faux tank, plus front wheel and matching tyre sorted. Only job left is to replace the bar shifter with a suicide shifter set up.

    Stretch cycle truck

Threw on some paint and re assembled with the new rear wheel. Still need to sort a shifter and do something for a better looking front wheel.

    Stretch cycle truck

Laced up a fatty for the rear. Pair of 26" chrome Araya rims tacked together for 70mm of width.

    GTHOtrod's Hot finds

'You sure you want to repaint it?' Safe to say I ruined it😁, fresh from the powder coater😉

    Stretch cycle truck

Moved up the BB and attached the top tubes. Rides well. Now to strip it down for paint

    Stretch cycle truck

Decided I wasn't happy with the seat tube, so I replaced it with a curved one. Attached the BB Trying some ideas for the top tube, think it will work well as a faux tank Fitted up some parts for a test ride. I will need to raise the BB a bit. Trail and error.

    Stretch cycle truck

Thanks. I'll look to get it moved.

    Stretch cycle truck

I've wanted some sort of load carrying bike for a while now, so decided to commit to building something. Started by chopping up my old 'Easter stretch' build as a donor Used an old mtb fork and bmx fork with a little machining to get a nice long steer tube length Used an old seat tube for...
