That's my profile pic, my first build on the forum.
I mounted a 10.5" wide drag slick, onto a 4.5" wide rim. That gave me the round tread profile I was looking for, for a bike.
Thanks dude. I've tried so many 26"combos, trying to find the right look. But nothing was doing it for me till the 29s.
The thin skin wall on the 700c's is the key I think.

I've used a fork, or a cut of rear triangle with a pair of cable ties as a truing stand for the last couple years.
Plenty of info out there about building wheels. You tube has plenty on the subject. It's not as scary as it looks hahaha
