I got some paint laid down last week. Black base, with green over the top. I sprayed the frame upside-down, to ensure the least weathered areas were well covered, and leaving the more weathered areas lightly coated. After drying for a week, I sanded and scuffed the most exposed areas to give...

    Monza 26

The little bit of red over black did it for me. Subtle, but loud enough at the same time

Miserable winter's day here today. Perfect mtb weather😁

    Monza 26

Trial fit of my coaster 29s onto the Monza 26. 700x37c front and rear. Have ordered a Bottema 29 fork for it, to give me enough clearance for the 29x 1.75s I want to run. Brake arms arrived and fitted up. Perfect reach for the larger rim. Currently Building a new wheelset with red high flange...

    My too nice junker

It is a modern made in China frame. Big difference to the schwinns of old. We didn't get those vintage schwinns in Australia. So have to make do with what we can get.

    SHOW US YOUR KLUNKERZ

They are an older Mavic rim with SS eyelets. Worn black hard anodised, with a fresh coat of satin black. Left overs from my build off bike this year. I built them up with a sealed front, and coaster rear hub.

    My too nice junker

I prefer the the 26 for this frame. It makes a good bomber on the fatties, as I roll through the mud over what ever and not care. On the 700c you are looking in front all the time and picking the best line. But I love the 700c for a fast bmx style, light off road, gravel, pavement cruiser. I...

    GTHOtrod's Hot finds

As you know, The mixte has good potential too. Add a top bar for a Breezer style build. Or cut seat tube down for a BMX style frame, Though I already have one of those in the works.

    GTHOtrod's Hot finds

Scored these two today, for 5 dollarydoos each. I've been running short for cantilever levers, and thumbies. So I grabbed them quick smart. Red Apollo is BIG and 650B!? lots of cool parts on it. Didn't realise till I got it home it was 650b. Silver Malvern Star is a 26" cruiser Mixte. Rare...

Hmm, Darth Vader aero fairing, there's an idea🤔 Fortunately, it's just a fender cover🤣

Not at all. Dial at each end, bit of a tap. I was surprised at how easy it was haha

So The new fork is 21.1 for the stem🤦‍♂️ Had a look through my parts and the only 21.1 stems I have are bmx, which won't for my 1"bars. All my 1"stems are 22.2. Looked on ebay, could only find ugly steel mtb stems too fit. Sooo, I fired up the old ww2 lathe and made some swarf👌 Problem solved.

Thanks so much. Raining here today, so the test ride for the new wheels was in wet conditions. I'll organise a ride video in the dirt😉
