I tried that, doesn’t work. I’m now posting a few words, then editing and posting and repeat. Otherwise if I’m not quick everything disappears. I can’t see what I type as it takes five seconds for each character to appear.

One inch motorcycle bars. Gooseneck and levers modified to fit. Hand truck one inch grips. Wide bars as in the sepia photo I posted below. 7/8 motorcycle bars would require a Problem Solvers shim for the 1 inch gooseneck to fit.

Slow site, 5 seconds to show the letter you typed. Then after all the struggling your post disappears. Then there is the Oops, something’s wrong notice I get. Sometimes it’s a normal site like my other blogs, sometimes it’s a pain. This is why I don’t post much here anymore. What, I’ll post of...

    Fender Fitting a Prewar Huffman

Extend the fork tube threads, make a new longer higher mount for the truss rods. I’ve done that.

That was my feeble attempt at forge brazing the head tube extensions on. The springer fork tube was too long for the frame I was using and the headset was larger than the old road frame. It looks bad but worked. Paint removal, in the fire was a just a bonus.

Got no neighbors this time of year, there all in that ..... Florida place. We cut our old cabin off the foundation with worn out chain saw chains and bar, pulled it off the foundation with a giant come-a-long attached to a tree and I burned it to save demolition costs. That was this time of...

    Tips n Trix

Frame paint stripping. As found Jet sled, buckets or whatnot of water used to take up space. A gallon of Ph down (phosphoric acid) used with enough water to cover the frame with the ballast in place. A tandem frame fits in the larger size jet sled. You can do quite a few frames in this...

$5 Salvation Army thrift store bike

It’s got 12.5 inch wheels. It just needed cleaning. My 3 year old grandson has been riding a stride bike for over two years. He has had two stride bikes, the first one was a plastic job with 4 tiny wheels, two close together on the front and rear, then a real stride bike. He jumped on the pedal...

Speaking from experience, you have a lot of sanding to do. I filled the low spots on mine with JB Weld, several times. I then used a skim coat of Bondo to fill the body file and coarse sandpaper scratches. Mine warped a little as it continued to dry so I had to add a little more carbon fiber to...

Still working on ID, starting thread for an old tandem

Here is one of my block chains. Yours isn’t a block chain. Clean your chain by putting it in a jar of acetone and shake it for 5 minutes. Pour boiling water on it. Put in a jar of simple green and shake it for 5 minutes and pour boiling water on it. Cover it with Evaporust and watch it closely...

Post War Fiets Cross, Velo Cross, Gravel Pit/Bomb Crater Cross Tribute.

Not necessarily, anything hot draws plenty. I cut a bolt to trim it yesterday and there was a horde of them attracted to the friction heat from the hacksaw. I ran inside.
