If I recall, I believe Ratillac was an OddJob Award winner, correct? The bike you built and took with on the first Ohio Players world tour? The year before you stopped in Minnesota. I :heart:everything about your process and description! You got a great match to the frame / fenders...

Great results on the leather add-ons! 'Impressive' work! (leather tooling pun intended) Bring it on home now.

Yeah, nice RacK-tina on the rear one! What was your process / materials used? Inquiring minds want to know...

So, I forget, will the original chainstays be chopped off after paint so it looks like this... Cuz that would be pretty darn cool!

So, is the red tape on the cones in front of the springs the part that will be the off-white to match the light shrouds? When I look at the white on the tank, and the darts on the frame below, they all have the open end of the 'cone' (where the ice cream sits) facing forward. But the red cone...

I like the example of the guard above. The front end of the build is tied nicely together with your red and off-white. Carrying just the white through to the chain guard would be cool.

I've only cried harder a couple of times in my life other than the day our Dusty crossed over. Cherish the years you had together. Looks like you are making progress on the wheel lacing. That is one monumental task!

I can't help you with the engineering questions, but I can say you were 'strutting your stuff' riding up high! Kudos to you for even trying that feat! I pretty much always keep my 'feats' on the ground these days. :21:

Dig the tent! And yes, that van is packed to the gills. I have many fun camping memories from my youth and as a parent with my sons. The graphics on the bike turned out great! I must have missed that before. RaT oN~!

As you well know, my formerly beer named thespian, I loves me a ride video! Great to hear your voice and get the deets on your build. Really like the overall patina and that chain guard is very cool!

I had to go back a page to remember the other components in this build. Is that cool front rack gonna make the cut? Any ideas for RaT-ifying the shiny black tank? A little light mist from 3-4 ft with brown that matches your frame tones and a flat matte black might do the trick. Looking...

That front fender, along with the rest of the bike, has plenty of 'character'! Anybody using a vintage Park Tool repair stand from the late '80s is a winner in my book. RaT oN~!

I really like the Rat Fink head badge. Now with your ratina on the fork, I'm not as excited about the Rat Fink topper, I'd say let the fork stand out on its own. When I look at this photo, everything works together well, but the shifter handle and stem have too 'modern' of a shine in my eyes...
