(MBBO#6 Class 2) Twist of Lemon

Have you tried using one of the tube notching programs online? They will let you insert measurements for your tube size and angle and then print out the paper profile template that you can use to mark cuts on your tubes. I've never tried it, but I watched a few youtube videos and it looks like a...

    1978 Murray KING KAT - Class 1

I just started back at work this week after 14 months away. I took a parental leave from teaching after the birth of our first daughter. It's been a busy year, but I've learned how to use my little snippets of time for bike related stuff. I was actually a bachelor this week while my wife and...

Agree, nice bike, but not an easy rider.

    1978 Murray KING KAT - Class 1

I have always loved the Murray choppers. About 15 years ago when I didn't have the money to spend on bikes, someone in Hamilton Ontario had a whole collection of all the different Cats/Kats for sale for $500 each. I never bought one and soon the ad disappeared and I kicked myself later, since...

Do you use MIG? I'm not a welder, but everything I've read and watched on bicycle building suggests that tig is more accurate and cleaner. I appreciate the vote of confidence. I will continue to watch and learn from your builds. Keep up the amazing design, building and documentation. It's all a...

(MBBO#6 Class 2) Twist of Lemon

I agree 100%, I just meant that welding is the only thing holding me back. I think I have the creativity and design skills to build in this category. I'm just not quite there yet, but it's great to have great builders to follow and learn from. Following along is very motivating for me...

(MBBO#6 Class 2) Twist of Lemon

We have a winner!! Your concept models are so good, there's almost no surprise in the end!! I love the originality. Definitely motivates me to learn to weld so that I can build stuff like this.

    Raleigh Fireball - Class 1

I picked this bike up from a friend of mine a while ago. He had it listed for sale on KIJIJI and it just sat there. He collects CCM and I finally called him up and said I'll take it. It's not all there and I don't know much about the history. It doesn't have the typical fireball seat or shifter...

Pole Position - Tandem Muscle - Class 2

Couldn't find anything about this bike online and then this just pops up while looking on eBay for other unrelated parts. http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-ORIGINAL-Yellow-TYLER-2-Seat-Bicycle-COLLAPSIBLE-/253130540286?hash=item3aefc184fe:g:4zoAAOSwcUBYGNRo

Pole Position - Tandem Muscle - Class 2

I think I might roll a 20 x 2.125 Goodyear grasshopper on the back and a 1.75 on the front.

Pole Position - Tandem Muscle - Class 2

    Definitely going with Banana seats!!

Pole Position - Tandem Muscle - Class 2

Intro I don't know if there will be any major fabrication with this bike, but it will be my first entry into class two. I guess this will be a nice first step into a division where creativity is not thwarted by period and part correctness. I fully intend to be welding by the end of the year, so...

    Columbia Firebolt

I'm so surprised when awesome bikes like this don't fly off the shelves. Need to market them to non bike builders that haven't spent all their money on other bikes and parts. It's a shame it ended up parted out. What a great ride!!
