I wish everyone could see this bike in person, itโ€™s pretty impressive. You would think that because itโ€™s almost 1.25 as big everywhere as a โ€˜normalโ€™ bike, it would be a lumbering, difficult to ride or move around. But, itโ€™s surprisingly nimble. Super comfy, cool ride. ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ

There is so much to like about this bike! I too used stainless hardware on my bike, I like the โ€˜warmโ€™ tone is brings (and the rust resistance in my climate is a plus). Canโ€™t wait to see the Finished bike!

๐Ÿบ Anita Brewski ๐Ÿบ- Bullhorns go bye bye

This is definitely a funky fresh mash up between a muscle bike with some BMX influence. Itโ€™s almost the opposite of the transition that muscle bikes went through with the โ€˜MXโ€™ years as they were phased out by BMX. Hope that made sense. What it breaks down to is, I dig it!

It definitely has that hitman / body guard / โ€œbrute in a 3 piece suitโ€ flavor to it. Hereโ€™s the Finished thread https://ratrodbikes.com/forum/threads/lowco-liner.116439/#post-1226665

    Lowco Liner

I present the โ€˜Lowco Linerโ€™. I built this one for slow Sunday cruises around downtown Savannah or near my local marina. The frame is a 1959 AMF Roadmaster, with a totally rebuilt 1940s era CWC Shockmaster fork and a 1950โ€™s CWC tank and chainguard, with custom graphics. To โ€˜modernizeโ€™ it a bit, I...

    Lowco Liner (aka Sunday Best)

Since I currently lay my bike in the back of my 1995 Volvo wagon, I decided to add some โ€˜tank protectionโ€™ so the truss rods donโ€™t do too much damage during transport. Went to the hardware store and picked up some 3/8โ€ ID, 1/2โ€ OD clear plastic tubing. Also decided to paint the area between the...

    A Lengthy Insanity

It will be interesting to see how the paint performs once the tire is inflated and bike/rider weight is put on it.

Looking great! I envy the dedicated shop space (working on resolving that myself). I say, if you want/like/have time to make the guards, go for it! I must say though, that shifter gate idea is cool, if you see it in the future on one of my builds, take it as a compliment ๐Ÿ˜‰ Build on!

Nice work all around dude! The tire aging looks great to me The headlight โ€˜upholsteryโ€™ But I REALLY like the use of a spoon for the bracket, that is a bit of โ€˜rat rodding geniusโ€™ right there! Looking forward to to the final product. Build on!
