Restoring these wheels is no different then a bike. Fix the broken spots and cracks. Sand smooth, then paint, clear, polish. These wheels have cracks and missing pieces a lot of the time. The centers go out of round sometimes so you have to sand the center cap edge to make it fit. You see...

I am waiting on a 16 inch mag to get here now. These card board inserts are about 3/16 inch thick. I think 1/8 inch material would be better. Aluminum, steel or plastic inserts all would work.

The cool thing is they have 20 and 16 inch mags brand new. This might be a easy and cheap hack to make some cool mags.

Here is a way to make a Screamer type mag wheel from a Skyway mag. I made these cardboard inserts to fit the Skyway mags. These are the first shot at making them. It will take 10 of them to do a wheel. Probably bolt them together to hold them on. Probably use aluminum for the inserts. They can...
