    ORBO Crusty

My dark paint turned out better then I expected. Had to wet sand a few spots. I know I called this thing crusty but the paints coming around and I might not bring patina back 😂fantastic painting weather in Ohio. There’s now 2 different shades of blue, it’s hard to see on my phone but I’m hoping...

    ORBO Crusty

Can you tell I wet sanded it again 😂 It spent some time hanging out with the crank in its life. Then I’m impatient so I sprayed a coat of color on it in the dark and 29 degrees. Busy day today so might get to see how bad I messed it up this evening 😂

    ORBO Crusty

Squeezed in some bike time and found out I really need to organize. This isn’t including the forks, fenders and chainguards. The minute I touched one I found out the totes weren’t on the pallets fully. So I looked for a seatpost and struck out. Appears to be 13/16 and a few people have spoke up...

    ORBO Crusty

I’m in with this Hiawatha badged frame. Hopefully I can find a seatpost 😂why is it every time a build off starts my work area is a wreck. Been cleaning 3 years worth of greasy hardware because I seem to save it all. Both of the frames I currently have and like were partially stripped at some...

    Next build off………

I’ve had a DNF because I forgot what night it ended. Had the build done and photos. The winter build off is my favorite because I commute by bicycle a lot out of enjoyment and the winter build off bike tends to get used for foul weather commuting 😂 I’m looking forward to trying to get this done...

    Next build off………

My biggest difficulty is both the frames I like for this had someone start stripping them so I’m going to have to figure out if I leave it alone or winter paint!

    Next build off………

Not only is the name awesome, it rides fantastic. It just makes me want to ride wheelies and jump stuff, as a guy with multiple back surgeries it’s just stupid 😂

    Next build off………

I’m in for sure. Will likely swap to smooth tires for a summer ride but the klunker style is my favorite aside from banana seats in with one of these two most likely. My first klunker was a monark. The gambles badged frame I apparently don’t have a seat post in the stash for. This green sport...

    MBBO #12 - class 1 voting

I enjoyed the build and have enjoyed riding it some. The only regret I have is not finding a better shifter before the end. Going 5 speed was a last minute decision

    SHOW US YOUR KLUNKERZ

Quick and dirty klunker ish build. A brand I had never heard of so I had to buy it. Came with these old mountain bike tires so I decided while tearing it down to clean and grease it that it needed rise bars and no fenders

    SHOW US YOUR KLUNKERZ

I built this for a class 2 or maybe off-road build off a few years ago. My son loves it, but man he’s hard on it. Love that it gets used but it’s now on fork 3 😂newer fork looks like crap but should last him a while

    Dirty muscle.

I love having a banana seat bike in my stable and the bum lower back means no 20 inch stuff. Just happened to buy a bunch of bikes leading up to this! Frames of course Murray built, it was a crusty white when I got it but I started prepping it for shiny paint when I decided I preferred it...

    Dirty muscle!

It was a balmy 46F and raining yesterday so I decided to go for a ride and get some photos. Back surgery is a week away and I might not be back to able to ride before the end! Just a quick teaser, bike rides fantastic but the skinny tires were a bit sketchy on the off-road stuff 😂

    Dirty muscle!

The 3 speed works and is fun to ride. It seems to shift a bit slow compared to my other external geared bikes. Looking at chain guard options, I might like this one. Need to decide on a chain guard for sure and possibly a shifter, but 100% need a cable clean up.

    Dirty muscle!

The weather is terrible, my spine hurts and the wife just tested positive for Covid. So a bit of basement bike time Hopefully find a better shifter solution but it’s all mounted and functions. Hopefully get a test ride this week at some point! Had to chop the sissy bar to clear the shifter...

    Dirty muscle!

Gotta adjust the sissy bar on the shifter side, figure out how I’m going to mount the shifter. Lengthened the chain and widened the dropouts today. One month left for me to finish

    Dirty muscle!

Had to take some time to clean up my work area, and storage. It was a mess. Then this was magically dropped off at my house. Maybe dirty muscle needs a 3 speed. I’ve never played with an internally geared hub but this seems to good to not atleast try it.

    Dirty muscle!

Cruises down the road pretty well. Certainly needs some adjustment and I’m not 100% on the rear tire but ride ended after about 3 miles because some ..... didn’t true the rear wheel or tighten the cone nuts 😂complementary wagon photo! This sissy bar makes getting the rear wheel on and off a...

No clue who makes the sport master but the tank was all there and I liked it 😂

    Dirty muscle!

In a shocking turn of events I didn’t wrestle with old rusty chain or buy a colored one. I was planning the red, but in the middle of wet sanding for the 5th time I decided I like it this way. Need to get it in the light and do some test riding. See if I like the back tire set up. Also need to...
