Also, thank you all for the braking advice. I used two adjustable wrenches to get the proper toe in. (Thanks OddJob). The braking is now decent. Still using the original John Bull brake blocks.

Thanks. I agree about the bottle cage. It will be removed. Replacing the indicator spindle made all the difference! The shifting was really bad with the wrong size. It felt like a jalopy. It now feels sporty! These English 3 speeds are an absolute joy to ride when properly tuned...

Wasn’t shifting great on my night ride. Per Sheldon Brown my indicator chain was too long. My axle is 5 3/4 inches. Swapping in this smaller one. It’s not hoarding if you use it!

I took the original headlamp and stuffed the wires that went to the dynohub inside the lamp. Then I used electrical tape to connect to a 9 volt battery. Works great! I am finished! Need to take some final photos. There a a few minor details I haven’t highlighted yet. Funny thing is...

Yeah. I tried that. It didnt work. Maybe the pumps are just worn out.

That hub is gone. Would not use. I was just checking out your other post. Is the plan to put a 3 speed hub on the spaceliner step thru frame? I think that is a fantastic idea! That frame is beautiful! I also would NOT get a donor front hub from a Raleigh 3 speed. Raleigh did some...

Yeah that stinks. If you were anywhere close to me I would give you a bike from my pile. Good luck with the police report. Does homeowners insurance cover theft from a storage unit? Anything unique in there that might pop up on Craigslist? Not even sure if you are interested in...

The frame pump is still a mystery to me. I no longer think it has anything to do with Dunlop valves. The top hose is from the new pump. Notice the part in the center that pushes open the pin in a Schrader valve. The other two from old pumps do not have the part in the center...

It’s way too late and I should be in bed… but I just found these pedals in pile-o-parts. These should be much better!

    Did i find a Spaceliner?

Looks like a spaceliner frame to me.

    Huffy something or other

I like it! Looks like the same cable used on the positron derailleurs. Don’t cut it! I made that mistake.

Dunlop or woods is not common in USA The only time I ran into a woods valve was while working on a Gazelle. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunlop_valve I am not even sure this is the problem, just a guess. The more I think about it, I don’t think this is the problem. If you look at...

Update. Seconds later I found this on Amazon and bought it with one click. Wasn’t @Wildcat or someone saying something about always trying the hard way before the easy way!

I am struggling with the frame pump. The plunger was completely shot. I have this spare white ‘made in England’ pump. The two are close enough in size that some of the parts are interchangeable. I was able to get combination of parts from both pumps assembled. The frankenpump works fine...
