There was a leverage effect on the chainstays. The frames would crack or break at the seat tube. I have never seen a broken Funk...

The AS didn't ride as nice as the Funk.

I wanted one of these so bad! I had a mail order biz and ended up selling Alpine Stars. They were a similar elevated chainstay. But they weren't as cool as a FUNK!

No it actually makes the threads better. The bearing surface is slick. It will ware through eventually. Keep them clean and they'll last your lifetime. Best to get a chromer who knows his stuff.

One setback. It was all going so smoothly. Somebody was not paying attention. I included this picture and said "weld up these two holes and make them pretty". Because of the angle of the fender a light would shine straight up. After pc I was informed that "you can kind of see them". Kinda is not...

That's what I was thinking. My pinstriper says it may come off if you polish it. So I think I'll skip it. But I think I'll add beige for a third color instead of just two colors.

I'm thinking silver and gray and maybe one other color. That's for the painted parts. That might not show up on the chrome very well.

Can't decide if im going to pin stripe the chrome rims. Any opinions on this?

These are not a very good representations of the color. The color is Emerald Metallic and it's dark, dark, dark. I'm thinking silver and gray and possibly a third color pinstripes. Fenders will be powdered, rims are chrome. Most likely 3 weeks for chrome which is excellent. Powder is probably 2...
