I always worked on my bikes in the 70s and 80s growing up, so I do know my way around the mechanicals... I'm just re-learning now, by rebuilding an old Huffy...

Got the rims painted and the little lady finished. It rides great, but the bars are too narrow and it makes the bike have shaky handling bc they are so sensitive to inputs. So I'm going to get some wider bars, with the ends more facing out. Oh, and I'm going to go with higher v ape hangers just...

That is such a perfect looking wheel. Good job. I've laced and trued rims before and it took me a week of frustration to finally get it close to right in a trying stand.

Thanks for your comment. Painting rims this week. New meats on after that. Those tires were expensive as heck, but there was no way that they weren't going on the bike, once i discovered them on ebay. Great quality, too. I'll post more pics in a few days.
