    Dual springer forks

I don't have the fork yet, so I don't know the lengths, and don't have a measurement yet for my tube on the bike, but a message from the seller said it was threaded down so there would be room to shorten it. I'm pretty mechanically inclined, even with limited tools I think I'm just going to get...

    Dual springer forks

Thanks for your reply, captain. I'm wanting to get it all put together, with the top nutsecured, and just saw across with a hacksaw just above the nut, so that the cut is perfectly straight and flush with the top of the nut. In my mind this would be the easiest was to cut it accurately, with the...

    Dual springer forks

Hi. For the ladies' bike rat off, I am thinking about ordering these. Ebay, 109 bucks. It's a 1 inch stem, and that's what my old Huffy cruiser has. The stem must be cut to length, and I suppose you assemble all of it, along with the stem parts, and then cut it off even at the top nut. Do you...

    ** The next build off 2024 **

I'm new, and would like to enter this. The deadline for completion is November? Do I need to officially submit my name to enter now? Thanks. Do I have to wait until Sept to begin the project?

I just read about the build offs. I believe I will enter. Thanks for the encouragement.

    ** The next build off 2024 **

Thats a great link to great information. Thanks. I didn't know the history, as I am a bit new to the study, science, and art of old bikes. I always worked on my bikes in the 70s and 80s growing up, so I do know my way around the mechanicals... I'm just re-learning now, by rebuilding an old Huffy...

    ** The next build off 2024 **

You definitely need to not rob this bike. Restore it...it looks awesome. I love that rear fender skirt. What is the wire frame mounted to the front? Some sort of springer?

It has such a wonderful patina to it. I'll remember the soap and boiled linseed oil trick. Yep, she's a beauty.

You've really done a stunning job on that. I like that you didn't do a repaint. Those faded white graphic accents on the frame are awesome. I love the flow of the lines of the frame. I just finished a 90s Huffy, which I guess Huffman was the original name? Posted before and after pics in a...

    1990s Huffy Lowrider Project

Got the rims painted and the little lady finished. It rides great, but the bars are too narrow and it makes the bike have shaky handling bc they are so sensitive to inputs. So I'm going to get some wider bars, with the ends more facing out. Oh, and I'm going to go with higher v ape hangers just...

    UNLIMITED Singularity

That is such a perfect looking wheel. Good job. I've laced and trued rims before and it took me a week of frustration to finally get it close to right in a trying stand.

Man, those Moon disc's really are going to top that off with some real flash.

    1990s Huffy Lowrider Project

Thanks for your comment. Painting rims this week. New meats on after that. Those tires were expensive as heck, but there was no way that they weren't going on the bike, once i discovered them on ebay. Great quality, too. I'll post more pics in a few days.

    1990s Huffy Lowrider Project

I had posted a before pic of this in my introduction a few weeks ago, and this is an update. I'm in Central arkansas...Benton. I was given a girl's 26 inch Good Vibrations Huffy cruiser bike (only had flat tires, and headed to the trash by a resident here). Only pink on it is rims and a little...

Hi. Im a new member. Jason Masters. Happy to be here. I have always tinkered around with restoring bikes and motorcycles, and I saved this Huffy 26 inch Good Vibrations bike from the dumpster a couple weeks ago, and decided to rod it a little, and found this site. I'm about to take the wheels...
