I can only dream of such nice infrastructure.
Berlin is mostly car centered with only very few good (mostly unconnected) pieces of good and save to ride bike lanes. Our actual government is cutting all the funding and planning of bike infrastructure down to almost nothing. That's why I join...
As promised here are some more info about and pics from todays protest ride:
The conservative Senat in Berlin just recently cut down almost all funding of bike infrastructure projects:
bikelanes: only 4,2 km built (our mobility law states that this year 100 km should be built)
bike fast lanes...
Most of the time I have no clue of what you are actually showing to us (I have no knowledge on working on cars at all), but I really admire your grit, thoroughness and patience you show in your work! 🤩
Can't wait to see the final product!
No time to build, too busy riding my bikes on protest rides and keeping track of all the other events happening... September is just too crazy...
On my way to another protest ride. More pictures later today...
And another protest ride (as the politicians in Berlin take one very bike unfriendly decision after the other we have lots of protest rides going on this month...)
I just discovered, that my go to source for all things F+S coaster brake hubs had an English version of it's site.
Here you go for loads of info in form of scanned documents and helpful videos:

Today it was time for a special protest ride: Badefahrt! (you could translate it as ride to the beach)
Around 109 cyclists gathered at the Brandenburg Gate to ride to the beach at Tegeler See, way up in the north of Berlin. All with perfect police protection.
The boys and I joined and I sported...
Yesterday I scored a matching rear wheel for the CobblestoneRat, so no need to use the Duomatic Wheel. So this afternoon I swapped out the rear wheel...
After riding it to the lake and back with the kids, I still have issues shifting. So I might need to try out another shifting lever the next...
Mounted the wheel into the Capitan to try it out. 46/19 was good for high top speed (easily 29km/h), 46/23 seemed good for cruising along... I'm not sure what chainring I have in the cruiser, so I'll take all sprockets I have stashed hereback home with the wheel...
I'm glad that at least this...
So, time for plan B (even if I might end up not using it for this bike):
I just today unlaced a Torpedo Duomatic hub from a 20" rim. It's the rare one with 36 holes. It has the same flange diameter as the 3speed, so I unlaced the bent hub and laced the Duomatic in.
This hub behaves like it...
Success and frustration are close partners...
On the campground I found the Torpedo hub I was looking for and even a set of spokes that fits.
I managed to lace in the rim in less than 30 minutes. Here it is with a bit of 70ties caravaning vibes from the original upholstery 😁
And here comes the...
Nice score. Judging from the lights and the stickers, this looks to me like a ladies version of the Japanese counterpart to the American muscle bikes and German Bonanzarad aka "Bikes with Flashers". 🤘
Check out my "research" from BO17...
(and have fun with another YouTube-bike-wormhole) 😁😉
Next week I'll spend two days on the campground (much less then I hoped for, but I took over some cat sitting duties without thinking further...🤦) so in preparation of some wheel building I disassembled the rear wheel with the messed up hub...
Here you can clearly see how bent the break arm...
