Help - How do I add air to a Marzocchi bomber fork?

The adapter arrived today! Many thanks to Karate Chicken Industries! Fit right in and put approx 100 psi in both sides. Anyone have experiences with a pump like this? I got it from Amazon with no instructions. Seems to be unable to top 100 psi no matter how much I pump. Later I...

    1988 Panasonic sport LX

Well, I guess that's why they call it a "fixed cup", tried using pb blaster and letting it soak but not budging. Don't want to start burning off paint with a torch so because the original parts are in good shape, I just lubed them and reinstalled. Have not had time to test ride it yet but...

    1988 Panasonic sport LX

Updates. New Conti tires replaced OLD Kendas. Clean and lube wheel bearings - they were pretty much siezed. see https://ratrodbikes.com/forum/threads/tire-problems-reminder-to-inspect-your-bike-if-new-vibrations-start.116237/#post-1222914 I am not a fan of stem mounted shifters, so added a...

Help - How do I add air to a Marzocchi bomber fork?

Took some pics last night. the schrader valves (one on each leg) are recessed aprox. 6mm down 6mm unthreaded holes.. Looking online for an adapter, then I see this pic. Idea, gut a tube or valve insert and maybe build an adapter out of that.

Tire problems... Reminder to Inspect your bike if "new" vibrations start!

Ya we went through that with her Schwinn racer. Cruising around. her back tire starts going Buzz Buzz. I looked over by her and said, "what's that black thing" and blammo the tube poofed out of the gumwall and went bang! That was loud @50 psi. Like a gunshot.

Help - How do I add air to a Marzocchi bomber fork?

Wow it's been Here is the pump I bought. I'm putting these forks to a different bike and I kinda wanted to add more air for my weight. So I bought a shock pump from Amazon and I can't figure out how to add air to 'em. It has the schrader valve deeply recessed - I think it's called a reverse...

    Fresh LOLz

Those Huffy Sea stars are wierd little bikes, they run a mini - one piece crank. Entered one in the Muscle Bike / BMX build off 2020 - 2021. The oxidised paint ended up semi gloss. :D https://ratrodbikes.com/forum/threads/huffy-baby-blue-bmx.112789/

Tire problems... Reminder to Inspect your bike if "new" vibrations start!

Thanks, They were a bear to mount, but seem to roll nice and true. Only other 27 x 1 1/4 tires I had experince mounting were "High Pressure" Kendas on my wife's Raleigh. I assumed the stock tires were panaracers and reviews said they wore out fast due to a thin carcass and little tread depth...

Tire problems... Reminder to Inspect your bike if "new" vibrations start!

New tire day! So much tread... I was shocked that the axles were almost siezed. This is one of my easiest rolling bikes and i never thought to check the wheel bearings! Lubricated and adjusted the bearings. Have to check and most likely lube the headstock and bottom bracket next. Kinda wierd...

Tire problems... Reminder to Inspect your bike if "new" vibrations start!

Evening ride around the country "block" (about 12 mi.)with my wife. I said, do you see anything wierd with my back tire as there is a new shake. She says , "maybe.". When we get home I find this... I know its a 37 year old tire, but it seemed ok with lots of tread, Maybe the tread flew off...

Mongoose Stat back from the brink

After much heating, pounding and wrenching, I figured continued attempts will wreck something so I took a big clamp and forced the cup in to make the gap as small as possible and try to true the cup up a bit. Also ground some clearance on the axle to prevent binding. I wanted to use a 1by...

Mongoose Stat back from the brink

Updates. Bike was laid up for a couple of years after I robbed some of the headset for another bike. Reciently decided to take it out of the shed and upgrade a few things. Used Cane Creek headset and used Red Line stem. Going to change chain ring. I thought the crank bearinbs needed...
