    Sears Spyder 500 date???

You were right the tires hold air and honestly look better than I thought. Should clean up nicely and work for what I'm doing.

    Sears Spyder 500 date???

So I decided to give it a shot and air them up. They hold air! And despite some dryrot cracking they don't look as bad as I thought and I think they will clean up enough to do just fine. Before After Front holds air too. Will clean them up when I respoke the wheels.

    Subrosa Bandit Sprocket

Looking for this sprocket in any condition in any color in any tooth count. They were available in red, black, gold, and silver and 25t, 28t and 30t configurations. Preferably the gold 30T but I'll take what I can get. Or if one of you fan y cats has a cnc machine and doesn't mind a little...

    Bandit Klunker

I could always pull a sneaky and do what I did on my trike. Double sprocket and ride the chain on the bigger sprocket and essentially use the front as a spacer. With the chain guard I'm using it would hide it nicely.

Gearing also plays into it. I don't know if you noticed but that is a Nexus internally geared 4 speed. The hidden gearing makes this bike kinda a sleeper and pays homage to the Trans Am in a way.

    Bandit Klunker

Thanks guys. I have been wanting to build a clean Klunker for a while and just didn't know what I wanted to do but as soon as I got my inspiration to base it on the Bandit Trans AM I knew I couldn't make it just good I had to make it spectacular and do the Bandit justice. I'm still waiting on a...

    Jude's finds

I was told it's a 1937 Huffman Mainliner when I got it. Head badge says "Mainliner" I assume it's closer to 1947. I'll get the serial number to be sure

    Jude's finds

@Wildcat Just noticed but would I be correct in assuming my Huffman has the wrong crank in it? And would mine have come with one like shown here? I only ask because I have that crank in a bike I'm probably parting out and would like to make my Huffman a little more original if that is the case.

    Sears Spyder 500 date???

The original is cracked pretty bad along the sidewall so I think it's toast. It it will at least air up without blowing out completely I'll probably just leave it on there it just wouldn't look right without it.

    Wierd Chain Tension Discovery

I have seen this happen in BMX bikes from bent axles and bad bearings. Might give them an inspection just to see.

    The 442

I love car themed bikes especially muscle bikes based on muscle cars. Check out my build "The Bandit" based on the Trans Am Burt Reynolds drove in Smokey and the Bandit. https://ratrodbikes.com/threads/bandit-klunker.118049/

    The 442

Nice work so far. This is gonna be good. Love the bolt cutter mod. I just picked up another muscle bike project and this is motivating me to actually work on it. Mine is a drum brake though. Original right down to the tires. Has never even had a wheel removed.

    Sears Spyder 500 date???

That's what really struck me on this bike is just how original it is I did a quick Google search in the store and it looked like everything was there. The chrome looks like it will clean up for the most part but the rear rim has a few spokes that are broken and the rest are crispy so I'll...

    Sears Spyder 500 date???

Anyone know how to track down a year on a 24" Sears Spyder 500??? Just picked this up on the cheap this morning for $40 and am curious as to what year it is. Has a drum brake 5 speed hub.

    Outskirtscustoms finds

Well I went to the local antique shop this morning to check out a bike frame and fork that I saw there before because I'm currently looking for a fork for my roadmaster build long story short the fork steer tube is too short so it won't work for my purpose but I did see another bike there for...
