Picked up this 20” Redline Roam for $20 at a thrift store. Not sure its worth but I’m gonna try and flip or strip it down if it doesn’t sell.

Had a friends and family get together and brought these 2 out. Everyone enjoyed the heck out of the sting ray. Apparently it’s a one size fits all type of bike.

Cool work! The frame I used had a kink in the chain stay area. Question, how did you open up the chain stays that wide? I used my foot on one side and pulled it apart, flipped and did the same to the other side. Curious about your method.

Any cool ideas on what to do with the cut off head and down tubes?

I liked this idea so much I went out into my frames pile and made one out of a 24 Schwinn.

Picked up this 1980 Schwinn today. This one lived it’s life by the beach. A blue one has been has been on my want list for a while. Mismatched rims and a bent inward fork means I get to add a straight fork and coaster brakes to it. Next is a root beer colored one.

Hmm. I know I got it off of eBay in 2019 and that was off an old shared email I used to have. I really can’t tell you where it shipped from.

I like this bike so much that I had to upgrade it a bit. Had to put on a new wheelset too. I wanted more tire options then the Schwinn size. Quick rattle can paint job and cleaned up some of the chrome bits. Riding this bike puts a smile on face every time.

I’ve been racking my brain on how to convert the regular (brake line clamp bolt) style brake arm to a quick release style. From this: To this: If I can find a perfect sized square hole brake arm that would be ideal, but I’ve been looking for Sturmey Archer parts and can’t find a cheap one...

How’s the chain line on your ride? I’m trying to do this exact same thing, but worried the chain line isn’t going to line up good.

Went thru bearings and gave it a boiled linseed oil wipe down. Added a Brooks B17 and gumwalls. It’s a cool cruiser again.

I’m going to try this out over the weekend and see what happens. Thank you.
