Every year that I have done a new build for the Tour De Fat I have posted a tone of pictures and kept everyone up to speed on progress. This time I decided that it's going to be a secret until I roll up to the park the morning of. But to keep it fun I'm going to post teaser pictures that hint...
When my local bike shop said they were discontinued I got online and ordered the last 4 I could find... enough for 2 bikes but hopefully they bring them back!
Just a heads up to everyone out there building bikes with fat tires. Surly discontinued the black Floyd and they are no longer available special order through QBP so there aren't many left out there. I gave them a call to ask why and they said the performance at lower pressures wasn't getting...

I'm in the planing stages of an air ride build. I've done lots of digging around and learned a lot but I'm looking for more details and specifics on what other people have used. I found Down Bikes online but they have no details on their system and don't sell it on its own. Anyone have one of...
Looks better than the complete destruction I feared! I know most of the good stuff was in the building but there are a few pieces i'm going to have to go back to see if they survived in the outer yard.
I just took a walk through with Ron last month and wish now I would have taken my life's savings with me... I'm going to have to give him a call and see if anything is salvageable...
I just picked up three in various conditions! if you are metal savey I have a parts frame that might get you back on the road... going to need some welding and love! the swing arm is cracked but could be sleaved and welded and the upper triple tree for the forks is bent but will probably straighten.

Here's my trip to the tour de fat in tempe with 3 trikes. The orange trike was built for OHSO Brewery in Scottsdale AZ. Also got better bars on the keg bike. Trikes are too much fun!
