    A try with a motor

Yeah I did a dart on the top tube and a stripe on the chain guard. It needed something to break up the black.

    A try with a motor

Actually getting a few things mounted. Had to polish the stainless fenders and then install them. Its coming right along. Slow but actually heading towards finished.

Thanks everybody. CCR my brotherinlaw needed a way to park where he works. They are closing one building and moving 350 people to his building. They already have a parking problem and its going to get worse. He lives 15 minutes from his work and they have bike racks by the front door. He tried...

Well got a couple coats of paint on the frame, fork and chain guard. At 93 degrees it dries really quick. At least I don't have that Schwinn yellow anymore.

Its funny how much work there is in cleaning all the parts on a bike. This one had stainless fenders that are decent but needed to be polished. Then the stem was nice but the anodizing was bad, so it had to be striped and polished. The fork, and chain guard need to be painted. Its a bunch of...

Well felt a little better today. Finished the rack and sprayed a first coat of paint on. It will need a couple ,but coming along.

Hey boy how you been? I know the dies are expensive. When I sold my JD2 bender the guy was real happy it had the 1'' 180 degree die. He paid about the same ,but saved the shipping and got a free stand. I kinda miss it sometimes.

Thanks I appreciate it. Maybe tomorrow. If I felt good I would have finished this in a couple days. Now it seems like I'm building in slow motion . I did read the part on my pills that say if you take them, don't operate machinery. Wonder if that goes for a welder. lol

Got a little welding done. Don't feel that great so no big workshop miracles. Kinda figured out the rack. Hope to feel better tomorrow and get some stuff finished up

Got the plate made and the holes drilled. Looks pretty good sitting there. Need to weld it in later.

Thanks Deorman. This thing is defiantly going to be stronger than a stock frame with all the extra gussets. I added the others to make up for removing that one middle bar. Won't be any worry about the motor vibrating anything apart.

    A try with a motor

Its funny, I'm betting my Brother in law is wondering why I didn't just stick the motor on the free bike, from Chuck and let it go at that. lol. He probably didn't understand the mind set of a frame builder. Its not easy to build a stock bike. It has to be changed to look better than it was, or...

Thanks I appreciate it. Hopefully I can find some metal tomorrow and finish up the frame work.

Yeah I guess having the extra seatpost show will look a little more custom. If I did the box it would cover it up and look just like a regular bike. Its easier to put the gusset in too. lol

    A try with a motor

Yeah that is what my wife said. I thought a fake oil box would look better. So I guess a gusset and let the tubes show it is.

Just bored Luke. Hope your doing ok. I am trying to decide on a fake tank or just a gusset with speed holes. My wife is liking the gusset idea.

Yeah I should have just thrown the motor on the stock bike and been done with it, but that doesn't seem to be my style. I have to change something or its not fun. I did get the worksmen front drum wheel on. Still need to weld a block on the fork to keep it from spinning. My shop is totaled...

    A try with a motor

Well got it welded in. Still need to sand the front set post more, but it looks pretty good. Different for sure.

Well I kinda have mixed emotions on my added seat post idea. I figured I would cut the top off of the front seatpost and weld it up. So Now I guess i will look at it a while and make a decision.
