    Kamehameha is done!!!

I’m not sure how I missed this build thread, but somehow I did. This is a sweet build. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    BO15 I Can't Afford the Gas

I agree with you on the fork. BUT, I’m waiting for some dart stencils to arrive in the mail that Dr. Tankenstein turned me on to. I was going to do the darts and then attack it to rough it up a bit. AND, I did see that you were talking about the amber varnish in another thread, so I was already...

    BO15 I Can't Afford the Gas

Thanks Scribble and Kingfish. I actually would have rather had slightly thinner stripes, but because of the stock pinstripes, I had to extend the stripes out to cover them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    BO15 I Can't Afford the Gas

Color matching has been challenging, tedious, and also kind of fun. I was complaining about all the dents in my front fender in an earlier post, but I think it’s rough condition helped with the faux-tina. The rear fender, which was protected by the chain and seat stays, is relatively dent-free...

BO15 Ratfink Supreme - Back From The Dead !

Hey! That's a different stem. A different, and much cooler stem. I really like that thing. I've not seen one ( or at least not noticed ) like that with the clamp bolt on the rider side of the handlebar.

    BO15 STIMULUS RATICUS

“The mothball fleet!” Lol I like the nanner seat. At first glance, I thought it had flames on it, but, ha! Not even close. I have brunch with the Jacksons everyday! Do you guys have a food truck or something? Or do you serve “to go” orders out of your house? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BO15 Camelback: 26" BMX (Scrambler XL)

Amazing what something as small as brake pads do to a bike. Just those little pads gives the bike a little more personality... I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    BO15 Stoked!!!

Supermoto’s!! I love those tires. I have them on my BO13 bike. They are really smooth rollers, no? Excellent grip and corners well. AND they’re Supercool looking, too! I was doubtful about all your red with the copper tone, but I must admit that it looks pretty cool together. Sent from my...

BO15 Skyrider AKA "The American Gentleman"

Let me check my tire stash. I might have a pair. I think a lot of the ones I have lying around are 1 3/4 for S-7 rims, but I might have some others. I’ll DM you if I find any. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BO15 Skyrider AKA "The American Gentleman"

That’s so weird that 2.1s won’t fit a middle weight frame from that era. I’ve also always liked the look of a fatter tire, but I think it looks good with the 1.5s also. It IS a “Skyrider.” With a model name like that, maybe it’s supposed to be more streamlined? Have you tried 1.75s on it? Sent...

    BO15 I Can't Afford the Gas

So, I thought my fenders needed some personality, and I’ve had luck with racing stripes on them in past builds, however, this is the first time I’ve had to try and match colors AND try and make the stripes look worn / old. Although the color of my rims and accent paint on the frame are “cream”...

    BO15 I Can't Afford the Gas

Thanks CT. I cut the fender in half, but I wish now that I would have given the back fender a little more length. But I don’t mind the way the look now. I’ve heard of people using heat to “yellow” or age white paint before. I will keep that idea in mind. I’ve also been doing a little research on...

    BO15 I Can't Afford the Gas

Oh cool!! They’re stencils. I initially thought they were the decals, which I honestly don’t care for that much. Thanks Doc! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    BO15 SteamRoller - Finished 1st THANKS!! - CompareTwinWinsVerBotenSteamRoller

You’re a little behind from where you were in BOTEN. Each bike has it’s own challenges and build pace, though, eh? What do you expect when you come up with all these crazy ideas, such as your “springy nanner?” It’s bound to set you back a bit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    BO15 I Can't Afford the Gas

Thanks KF. The fork is definitely “whiter” than the paint on the frame and wheels, which is more like “cream,” but under the circumstances, I’m pretty happy with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
