    Single & Ready to Mingle

Got this one all done. I figured the Bonneville Salt Flats would be a perfect place for pictures. It is still pretty soggy out there so I got a few pictures on the salt and the rest are from the surrounding area. Part breakdown: 1957 Schwinn Flying star single bar frame Custom made cast...

    Single & Ready to Mingle

I got this bike all put together. I forget how big of a pain it can be to put fat tires on a middleweight frame. It took a lot of adjustment, but everything clears. Took it for a shake down ride of about mile. It cruises good, though a little small. A vintage bike with flipped bars and a dropped...

Sometimes it’s nice when the situation makes the decision for you. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the paint!

    Single & Ready to Mingle

Thanks for the compliment. I’m pretty happy with the rear fender. Some old foot pegs could have been really cool, but time is not on my side. Plan is to take finished pictures tomorrow morning.

    Single & Ready to Mingle

@MattiThundrrr Good article and a good explanation. I’ve just never had a tire do it so fast. I would scrub them and they’d look good for a couple hours l, and then brown again. Putting that tire dressing on them seems to be the answer. I cleaned them yesterday and they are still super black.

    Single & Ready to Mingle

The Jerald slick tire was a little strange. I would clean the tire, but if it sat out in the sun for even an hour or two it would develop a very noticeable brown haze on it. So I bought some matte black tire coating and it worked great! First, time having the fender fully mounted and I’m really...

    Single & Ready to Mingle

Getting down to the little details. I made a bracket to mount the fender and one for the front chainguard mount. I modified an unused ikea bracket for the fender and the other one is just flat stock. They aren’t pretty but you won’t really see them either. The fender one mounts under the rear...

    La Fugazi

The skirts don’t look bad, but I think you made the right decision in keeping them off. Just doesn’t need them. It’s looking great!

    Single & Ready to Mingle

My plans have been to use a phantom style sprocket on this build. For the life of me I can’t get the original one off of the cranks. The threaded drive side race just won’t come off. I’ve had it soaking in penetrating oils and even tried a torch to get it off. So I started digging to see what I...

SOLD Pending. Felt Antique Archeology frame, fork, and parts. $200

Another project I won’t get around too. Super nice bike, but does have a chip here and there. Good fitting steel frame for an adult. These frames were individually numbered, this one is #350. Buyer pays actual shipping through bike flights. I would guess shipping is somewhere around $75. Asking...
