Awesome builds one and all!!!! WOW! I appreciate everyone’s support and camaraderie with my build along the way! I feel bad I didn’t get my bike done, but…. I ran into life the last 3 months and this deadline just didn’t fit! I’ll keep plugging away on this guy to try to keep up with y’all...

Ok, so, this hurts!!! I ain’t gonna make the deadline, so….. I’m making some tweaks. -I ‘un-did’ my pinstriping. I liked the paint, but definitely wanted some more color: I’m ’stretching’ the red and blue so there is less white.

Desperation sinking in….. I spent yesterday at work n family functions, Sunday with Syracuse Classic Bikes at the Syracuse Nationals. I have a retreat next weekend, celebration of life 3 states away the next. Will put on the full court press, but I’d rather do this right and not complete vs...

Thanks Wayne!!!! I think you’re right !!! There’s the post part, then like a sleeve it goes into. I measured the diameter of the sleeve with the post in it, and I think you’re right! -I’m sure I have an old Schwinn seat post here somewhere…. Would that be a good test before buying? My...

Well, I want to cut one end off, slide on a new cable housing, then put an end back on…. Not sure where to get then end piece or how to reattach the one I have. I’m just gonna leave good enough alone. I’m afraid I won’t be able to get it right if I snip one end.

How about….. anything out there for a longer 20mm seat post?

It’s actually easy-peazy. The stopper on the end just slides in the sleeve, and the just screws right on to the post: Connected

Thanks OJ: It’s actually way simple. All I do to finish assembly is push the cable and threaded sleeve straight over the threaded post coming out of the mechanism. I’ll post a pic in a few.
