Decided to paint and recover my Mesinger saddle...never done it before..Got some nice soft leather from an old leather coat I got at the second hand store for $20.some new padding.. ..I’m happy with the results...nice and comfortable..

Parts are cleaning up nice...even the chains are still good

picked up this early 90s Worksman trike...got it for $75...need a project to keep me busy during some of the winter...this thing is pretty crusty...was being used on a farm..the hubs and chain are covered in farm gunk... the frame looks solid...just a little surface rust...it should clean...

I needed a cable guide cause it was a little close to my tire..so I took a spring I had laying around and modified it a bit..little things like this are satisfying...

Put on the U bars...I’m liken them..

Decided to fasten some stiff rubber cargo liner that I had leftover to the sides of the pannier rack to support the bags and to help protect them from road crud..I think it turned out pretty good

I also have these cool old aluminum touring bars...but they have larger diameter...couldn't get my throttle switch on

Those bars would look good for sure...but I think I will try these vintage U bars I just finished painting...their a little wider..

So I got some Alban pannier bags ...beautifully made bags...highly recommend...they fit nicely on my axiom flip flop rack..

So..got my bike back...I’m likin how the 3 speed works with the bafang motor

so...decided to take my bafang kit off my vanmoof and put it on my custom ruff bike...took it for a good ride today...I really like how the 3 speed Shimano works with the bafang motor...I may put on a wider set of handlebars tho...very nice riding bike ...t rying out this axiom DLX rear rack...

That is is a beautiful bike! The brooks saddle and grips suit it perfectly...tempted to put black ones on my mulholland...but I gotta get my compulsion to modify things under control...

Did you consider an 8 speed shimano alfine on that bike?...I have one on my city bike that I have a 48 v 750 watt bafang kit on ...they compliment each other nicely....I think the wider gear range makes the bafang kit operate more efficiently...
