Oh oh oh, we're talking half pitch. Gotcha gotcha. Yes. Cleveland was one of the last to phase it out and AMF used up what they had left before converting over. Correct. One of the last companies to go over the 1/2". I thought we were saying only later AMF models had them and I was like?! I've...

    Fender Fitting a Prewar Huffman

I have a side project going with @melancholera while we build up their first full "Rat" from frame up. The front fender isn't an issue, where we're using a Matching fork and fender up front from CWC but the rear I feel may not be as .. fluid looking in its attachment. The frame is a '41...

I'm afraid anything done to the tank will only improve its value at this point, but I am always wary of adding permanent changes in unless it's to help the overall wholeness or integrity of the bike to be useful and practical again. I am sure gonna love riding it just as a frame and rack for a...

😄 thanks a bunch. It's been a lot of fun this time getting back "in season". That's the one! I wasn't comfortable posting about it until the deposit landed and the ad was removed, of course but I can't stop Staring at it. 😆⏰️ I'm gonna ride it mostly a total crust cake. The type of ride...

Thanks. It has been a minute since my last. I think it was on a Snyder I had. That's gonna take some think 🤔 I'm gonna need to completely rebuild the door opening on the other side as it's rotted away I think, but that should be it for the heavy work I'll do. Fz

I hear you do pretty good with the oldies CCM though! Some of those are outright CLASS!! I'll keep my ears to the ground if I should hear of a Canadian with the American bug out there. They're my favorite maker as well.

I haven't. I'm sure they were one of the last designs by CWC before selling to AMF post fire. Cleveland stopped using Skip chains a couple years after AMF buyout. I've never seen one made for a standard but they aren't "rare" by Definition of Hens Teeth, I wouldnt say. Just seen them on ladies...

It's a stellar area. I'm down in the Bay, myself with no desire to stay 😄 I do enjoy De Pere as a riding location. The trail running through Voyager Park is just delightful and very friendly. We're roughly 30 minutes from DC and visit often, especially at the state and county parks. It's been...

Spun around Door County, WI this last evening by the bay. I love tugboats. The John Purves is actually under maintenance and decommissioned as a full use unit. I had a tour in it last year, oddly spacious! It was a lovely evening. Ended at Kitty O'Reilly for Fish and Chips of course...

Thread died for a few days. Here's one of my oldies passed on to Harley Mclemore in Calif. It's one of his favorites which is Always a better feeling after a hard sell. Fz

I do get it. The earth splash of green. The symbol of a Midwestern summer coming to fruition for fun times and farmers alike. I'm not from Wisconsin, and it took a while to accept it was either corn or snow in the background for ride shots,. But I guess I'm coming around 😏 Thanks for the reply...

The Twisted Hearts ring is indicative of post war CWC. I've usually found them smaller, for ladies models but this is a full size for men's and around the same era as the comparative Monark chain ring in standard 1" pitch. I actually run into them a lot. This ones loose right now. They...

When Cutting Down a Fork for Smaller

I have a ladies CWC Springer. 7-1/2? To the 5" a men's is. My question is this, how are you modifying the rods to match the new cutdown height of the steer tube? Are you cutting the rods down and re-threading those, too? Fz

Royal Master CWC winged wheel badge

As the title states. Pulled it off a ladies post war frame [1946-49] Cleveland. I saw a post around here a week ago about when this badge began and stopped but now I can't find it. Any info is cool. Thanks! Fz
