    Chimera BMX

You gotta be outside your mind not to buy. It's revolutionary! I'm ordering one. There will be a bigger battery. Look at it this way. It doesn't require pedal assist. It's not a bike for disabled people, although it can. It's made for thrashing on. Everything about the design and parts is made...

@kingfish254 confirms the mistake. @Shrunken_Head_Pedaler. The spokes lengths you have will work for sure. If crossing over the first 2 spokes and going under the 3rd is a problem for you then don't. Cross over ALL 3 spokes. Less of an issue with heavier gauges. I rarely go under the 3rd...

Sorry for not responding earlier, I'm around mornings lately. Threading in advance is unnecessary. Extra work with no gain. You'll find the lengths vary slightly anyway depending on the direction spokes are entered into the hub along with irregularities. Some spokes may extend past the nipple...

No need for any of that. Continue tightening with a spoke wrench when the nipples bottoms. They'll keep threading. You be left with 2/3rd or more thread engagement which is plenty for your use. You're just slightly long. Trim the spoke ends with a dermel when the wheel is fully tensioned...

You're good to go with the existing spoke length;) The Wheel Master ERD = 545. I entered a 3mm spoke hole to compensate for 12g as well. Go for it:thumbsup:

According to your values which I pretty much agree with(3sp hub flange-D closer to 57mm). @3 cross spokes are ≈ 3mm long. @4 cross ≈ 7mm short. My suggestion considering the nature and use of the wheel is lace it the same 3 cross driving the nipples past the spoke threads. There's about a cm...

I wanted full extreme. Gobs of negative trail, pedal scraping. Shifting requires taking a hand off the bar which is a danger. The fork is out of parameter. It's not supposed to be mounted on a frame with an excessive headtube angle. It's a spring, but not a true suspension. There's mad rebound...

I am invited to a local rideout end of August to play with other fancy cycles. . . there's BBQ after. Rather than a complicated masking job, I'm content with scuffing the original single-stage paint and go for a black fade. I added fuchsia as a 3rd color which works with black and blue in the...

Getting the ride stable is crucial. I believe a coaster brake is a better solution for stopping than levers. The bike is in C2 because I can't add or make another change to C1. This project is very important to me and worthy enough to be in a build off.

Tried 100 grit sandpaper and plastic polish for a looksee. The blue is gone, however, it appears I can achieve a nice black and blue blend. 100% alcohol and mineral spirits removed paint and dirt. Acetone caused an immediate harsh reaction. Don't use on soft molded seats. Up to 2000+ grit and...

What's black and blue and has a five foot wheelbase? Thinks I can bring this guy back with sanding and polish. Appears to have been sitting next to a boiler. No ordinary chain will do for me. Satchmo for inspiration.

@Shrunken_Head_Pedaler Use a ruler to measure the following in mm. If you have a vernier caliper great, if not a good ruler will suffice. Use thick paper such as a mail flyer for cutting out around the axles where you can't stretch across a ruler easily and then measure the distance between...

Exquisite work, and tape skill @Shrunken_Head_Pedaler. Beautiful tank and material usage. Your post reminded/inspired me of my father's custom tape stash he used for intricate paint jobs. Found his 1/8'' rolls which still work great. It was cut in the late 70's. I was just a shorty then. My...

    Odyssey Dynatron bb bearings damage

I agree you didn't overtighten. You'd know it. Thanks for the info. I use the same set. Made in Taiwan, generally better quality stuff. Has the plastic seal. Always on the search for NOS.

    Odyssey Dynatron bb bearings damage

There's really only one way such damage could occur, but you'd know about it. I've seen this when the crank was struck laterally with a ton of force. I'm talking being thrown off a roof onto concrete. Chain tension has no bearing(pardon me). I've run those BB's without lubricant for many miles...

Who me? LOL Best I could do on short notice. Felt your color combo. M bar, for looks, straight for riding. Arms spaced apart on a chop in that position feels sooo right. . . I know;)

Think some of ya'll missed post #43. Perhaps I'm I invisible, that must be it. @deven_science, the main spindle is what the crank arms connect to. The pedal spindles orbit the crank spindle which is part of an equation regarding weight distribution I was preparing to demonstrate which might...
