    Tomorrow turned into next month but I got the rear wheel assembled I scrubbed the frame with steel wool and WD40 now I can start putting stuff back together bearing cups and forks are done! I’ve got two weeks left, if nothing stupid happens I think I can get this finished…

    if the original wheel was laced cross 3, try the 2 speed with cross 4, I did that once and it worked with the existing spoke length

    Parts are out of the wood bleach bath and scrubbed, the hubs got a shot of rust preserver and a quick dry, gotta figure out spokes next

    Degreasing is done the only thing left assembled are the fender braces, flat head screws and square nuts instead of rivets so I’m not sure if that’s original or an old time repair.     I started cleaning parts tonight and this old grease/dirt combination is tenacious, I’ll get another jug of simple green tomorrow and soak it another night, once the hubs are clean I’ll measure for spokes
