Bearings for 1" threaded fork into 1 1/8" threadless headtube

Skip to post 9. 1-8 are flops :) Was digging thru the headset pile and found the elusive bearing to allow a 1" threadless fork to be assembled into 1 1/8" threadless cups. Fork crown 1" Lower bearing cup 1 1/8" Upper bearing cup 1 1/8" Top bearing race 1" threaded, no lip on the bearing...

Hope4muscle - born in Japan growing muscle in Berlin 😉

I had some amazing cactus enchiladas in Texas, I've tried to make them 4 different times and I have to admit defeat. My tamales have the older Mexican ladies at work asking my how I did them - I considered that the true mark of approval.

Totally GREEN power, what are these magical outlet growing trees you have in Ontario. :-)

That's a great starting picture for build, major components we all chase down are already there. It absolutely looks like a full size 26" until I see your son standing by it. 451 wheels, may be difficult to find larger size tires or slick if youre trying to do big an dlittle tire combo...

(Rigid Rodent) name change ... Tireless Trainer ... finished!!

Agree, I have a pile of front rims with no matching rears, finding the right donor frame with a sweeping downtube long enough may be a challenge. White looks great, I'm undecided on color for latest build... hmm

    Spacey liner

Shifters are fun, I like seeing what people come up with. I used a piece of threaded rod thru the shifter, nutted inside and out. Threaded into a golf club shaft, with an old machine knob I found in a box of random. The cover is part of a ceiling fan with 2 set screws. All parts were...

    DEAD SPACE

That frame looks great, I'd be tempted to clear it. Looking forward to some SHINY.

    Lowco Liner (aka Sunday Best)

Awesome parts line up, I'm in for more surprises I treated myself to a harbor freight buffer a few years ago - it was worth the $ to me, polishing is now a fun part of any build. I also do car resto - it gets used a lot. I do need to make a stand that can be used outside, it makes a hell...

    The Great (Haro) Escape

If you tear them down, let me inow the outside diameter, inside diameter of the elastomers. I'll look around amazon for a match. PUR material is available many places, amazon sells in qty that makes sense for us. It's more common - with a thru hole for Judy's than solid for earlier rock...

    The Great (Haro) Escape

I can get elastomers to replace the elastomers for about $10. 😀

Urine Yellow - mountain bike to bmx conversion

Another side track. Was given a couple of redlines, cleaning them up amd swapping some parts to give to kids in my neighborhood. 19 1/4 " top tubes with 175mm cranks is weird, swapping shorter cranks, for younger riders.

Urine Yellow - mountain bike to bmx conversion

Bought full chromo dirt jumper forks..... but.... 14mm drops, ordered some 14mm to 3/8 adapters too. Black chromoly won out over hi-tensile chrome.

For sure rigid fork. If I buy one it will be chrome straight BMX - got one ?

    Basket-Case 🛒

Fun build to watch the iterations. Really has a cool stance. If the no welding for class 1 is the constraint....... I vote to allow welding to modify head tube angle to make a safe / functional ride. It's not chopping frame for appearance, but for functionality and safety.

Urine Yellow - mountain bike to bmx conversion

Feeling much better, no serious issues, symptoms just kept hanging on. Thanks for the support Back to Bike Talk. 1. Think I need to get the wheel / chainline worked out here to get comfortable on how to move forward. 2. The fork kinda bugs me, rideable with the modified fork, need to...

    Found in the Road Dead

I've seen those bars on mongoose before, have a set hanging around. The crankset having actual sprocket bolts versus riveted or single sprocket is interesting, most likely all steel parts, but it could be useful on other builds. The 2 speed sprockets points to some multi speed version, do...

10 speed donor for muscle bike 24" ?

Ran across this in the classified and may pick it up. Dont need another bike at all, but looks like a 24" chrome wheel, friction shifter, small cage derailleur, good stem, interesting bars, fork with chrome topper. Lot of clean parts there that could easily become a 24" muscle bike.

I know I have 2 black pegs, may be 14mm axle, what size / kind of pedals.

    DEAD SPACE

Build is looking great, dialing it in. I love the fork on this, can you give feedback on the steering feel with the wheel kicked out in front of the fork. Does it feel like a stretched / chopper fork ? I don't have one of these forks to assemble, but have ideas, hmm ideas, a set of...
