This is AWESOME. My kind of build, vintage frame with newer components. Keep the details flowing.

    Looking good.

    Single speed to multi speed

We're talking bikes here so there's always exceptions to any rule :) 1/8" Wide chain is bmx single speed 3/32 wide chain is multi speed chain Now many bmx came with 1/8 freewheels but 3/32 front sprockets. Make sure your front sprocket will fit a 3/32 chain, the chain should drop freely...

    "New to Wheel building" Question

Love the 28 h hub to 36 h rim write up. How many different spoke lengths did you have to use ?

    "New to Wheel building" Question

First wheel build, yes stick with matching hub and rim hole count for spokes. Go with 3 cross. Learn to use spoke length calculator. Check bmxguru.com for spokes, I order there frequently, many spoke type and color choices and build to requested length with no BS. Great prices too...

    24-inch Sears

Loving this build. Mongoose bmx had a dual cable on completes, I have one of them somewhere in the stash. I have a stack of suntour spoke guards, new from an old bike ship if anyone needs one. I made this one from a drain screen for a build. Can you shifter cable route down the lower top...

    Recover seats HOW-TO

I usually don't like linking other sites, but I posted up details on bmxmuseum https://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=7209272#p7209272 This is what I've figured out. Any tips appreciated. Hope this helps someone give it a try. A proper upholstery stapler makes all the difference...

    THE GRIND Getting there.. 2/18

Go easy on the fork drop, it'll drop your bottom bracket height quickly. I bent my last set of forks in a street storm drain. Did the set before that in my truck hitch.

    TRICEP

Narrow the rear, a lot, all the way to the yellow box or more if you still have room for sprocket. Blocky slicks on the rear, Will be unique and not take up a giant garage space.

    el Monterey del ciego

Auto trans fluid and acetone for penetrating. Marine trailer bearing grrase for bearings. Chain saw chain oil for chains. I will use some 90wt gear lube in hubs - definitely on freewheels - soak them Works Perfect cause I already have all this on the shelf. Back to the build. What's...

Do you need a chrome 28H rim. I may still have one in the stash, will have to dig thru. I have no intentions on using it - if it's still there.

    24-inch Sears

Ooh, this is good. Dual top tube. Nice sweep on that frame. 24 is a great size for adult muscle. Those dual brakes are wild. Love the high flange.

    Off-Roadster (ORBO)

Now this is a build. Superb parts selection, can't wait to see more.

    Chopper X

Put your paint can in a container of very hot water, shake it, let it sit, you'll feel the can get cold again when you shake it. Just keep it soaking and shaking until it's all warm. Will lay down much better and help with clogging.

Nice, nice, anything else laying around that might go onto that frame

I like your style. Excellent parts line up, can't wait to see more. I have a sturmey 5 spd internal freewheel on the shelf, all new wheel laced on a 20" need to figure out the shifter. Did yours come with shifter? I can't see the wheel pic

    Mass Confusion

Now the door is Wide Open for bass boat flake paint job. Just saying. Blue looks good if you're keeping it.... Let's see where it lands.
