Pretty cool, did they ever get mounted?

Yea. We have a periodic helicopter that flies over. I like to ride the dirt roads, and the levee roads. Sometimes there is shade, but I ride mostly at night and on those rides it doesn’t really matter. I can probably count on one hand the other riders I have seen.

Fun My darn phone won’t let me see my pics. Maybe later. This will motivate me to get some bars and grips on my chromey.

Yea. The paint is really nice. Even zoomed in. It just shows what can be done when care is taken with multiple steps and layers. I always knew that was important with woodwork and transparent finishes, but obviously true with opaque finishes as well.

Cool stuff! This thread had my complete focus between two meetings, and now back to work. But I may be thinking about what something like this would like over chrome.

I’m in the same situation. every time I have an opportunity to do some bike stuf, it either rains, or something comes up.

I think I’ll be able to get into town today or tomorrow and see what kind of bars are available. If nothing, then it’s time to either paint those, and put some nice grips on them, or order some new chrome bars.

Yea. as long as it doesn’t mark what you put it on and the hinges and lens are clean and functional I would leave it. I often use “desirable patina”, and “original condition” as synonyms for “ I have other stuff to do” though.

Nice. that’s good honest wear. I don’t really understand the idea of buying one that’s brand new and looks worn, but do appreciate the look and feel of a well used instrument, tool, or bike.

this chrome cruiser is an amazing ride. It’s comfortable, stable, and responsive a really sweet feel. with the low gearing and fat tires I can ride it around the yard and manual up the stairs around the pool. As long as I don’t get seen. I’ve been looking at bars for it. Maybe some chrome...

Lots can be done with normal tools. the crank puller is an absolute necessity though and they are inexpensive. the pipe and and penetrating lubricants are also required equipment unless you are The Hulk.
