    Mbbo/Orbo?

I’m in. These things are addicting

    Mid-80s Hevi-Duty value question.

Nice. I used a Husky wheel on my son’s bike. a few minor spoke adjustments (I did it on the bike) and he was rolling. Seems like a good solid wheel.

Hey Don’t sell yourself short. While it was a cool design and well built, it was just another “old bike”, something many would just trash. You saved it with those minor straightenings and fixings etc. and tweaked it into something cooler than it was with an entertaining build journal. we...

What have you been riding lately?

I made some small changes to my RRBO16 build “Fixed Pain” and jest meant to take it for a little shake down before the rains hit. Ended up having fun and riding a few miles of dirt along the levees and ditches and made it home in the rain.

If that were in my size I would be chasing you around. that looks like A Lot of Fun. if anyone ever sees one sized for someone built like an overweight gibbon, I’m your ape.

    BO 16 Question

And it’s a good thing. I love seeing kids of today wearing Zep t shirts. even better Pink Floyd Even better if they are cruising on an old bike.

    BO 16 Question

I’m totally anti censorship and do appreciate all kinds of art. practicality steps in and: I wouldnt want a shirt my 17 year old boy would run off with, and the wife wouldn’t “accidentally” pour bleach on, or cut into rags.

    Mid-80s Hevi-Duty value question.

Sweet! Now, if I had a Heavy Duti frame, I’d take the parts off of “Fixed Pain” put them on the HD, mount the doll on the front and ride till the cops stop me. or Until I fall down too many times Or until I’m hungry.

    Mid-80s Hevi-Duty value question.

Do I get a bonus for being both Well over 200lbs And under 6 feet tall?

Are box drop handlebars any good?

I like that kind of curve, they look cool and I like the feel for steering if they are wide enough, but my neck won’t let me ride like that for long anymore.

The general fixed gear/SS conversion thread.

Right. I can have it either way, I have a flip flop hub so two fixed gear ratios, and two freewheel ones. I prefer to ride fixed, but occasionally you want to coast. Im sure the purist he-men would not approve of my old, rusty, sprung seat, two sets of brakes, awesome grips 😉, racks, (panniers...

The general fixed gear/SS conversion thread.

It’s basically the way mine is set up. I can ride to the levee on the roads, paved and dirt, and then stop, drink, loosen the nuts switch to the lower gear (maybe two minutes) then ride the softer and unmown trails in lower gear. I don’t switch very often, and like riding fixed, so it works for...

🚴 Tasty BMX video content (Capt's midlife crisis)

That is a pretty cool frame.

Don’t tell anyone, but you can also get those tube and tool canisters free with almonds in them. And a similar longer type with Pringles inside.

Problem Adding A Rear Brake Set To A Pure Cycles Fix

Here in flat Florida I ride fixed about 90% of the time. I also have brakes, except on my most recent bike build with low enough gearing that I haven’t felt it yet.

The general fixed gear/SS conversion thread.

This is my 84 Lotus Eclair Swamp Flower Commuter and play bike It’s a fixed Dingle speed, with a two speed freewheel if I ever feel like coasting. New pedals are coming soon and a replacement for the rear light. The green canister on the rear rack is my patent pending waterproof tool and tube...

    RRBBO16

We had some killer builds, and I really enjoyed following along. Some of you are real artists and/or build bikes I’d really like to ride. Some were so pretty I’d be afraid to ride. It was very difficult to not vote for some, but I didn’t want to vote for all… The part that irks (replace with...
