    SPINAL TAP - Finished

I was never happy with the original seat post, so cut it off and welded a new one on. Now, time to strip the clear coat and decide on a color. I was going to paint the chrome and alloy parts flat black, but won't have enough time, so they will stay shiny.

    SPINAL TAP - Finished

I just set up an album in my Photobucket and called it ELEVEN (for RRBBO11), and realized the Spinal Tap connection . Due to the amount of time I have, I don't plan on taking this build "one more" to 11, but it should turn out pretty cool nonetheless. I've been painting and laying...

    SPINAL TAP - Finished

Decided on these lights. I won't have much time to create new parts for this build, so dug out some I've used before. The headlight has been in a box for a few years and still works :)

    SPINAL TAP - Finished

I picked through my stuff and found some lights, and also cut the old seat post off and welded a new one on. Pics tonight.

    SPINAL TAP - Finished

Nothing done yet. Have been busy marking assessment tasks before the end of semester, and still playing 2 or 3 gigs a week. I have a couple of weeks break coming up, so will be getting most of it done then.

    SPINAL TAP - Finished

I'm using stuff I have for this build. The bars are from Atomic Punk, which I dismantled due to the Micargi frame bending and breaking. Bars Possibly this wheel/tire combination

    SPINAL TAP - Finished

Decided on a name.......not really a theme build, I just think the name will fit for the look I'm aiming for.

    SPINAL TAP - Finished

After a couple of years of inactivity on here, I've decided to have another crack. I will be using the Cycobilly Deluxe frame, as it's been hanging from the rafters for a couple of years. I stripped it down to fix a couple things, but never got back to it. I will be using different bars, saddle...

    Redux of a previous build??

OK, I'm in then. Will start a new thread over the weekend :).

    Redux of a previous build??

What's the general opinion of entering a bike from a previous buildoff? I have the bare frame from my Cycobilly Deluxe build hanging from the rafters and a pile of parts in boxes. I would be making some changes to the frame and using hardly any of the parts from the original build. I know people...

(MBBO#04 Class 2) PEDRO. (PEDRO GOT A NEW OWNER!)

Bean MIA from here for a while. Decided to have a look around the site this morning, and this build is the first thing I see :eek::eek:. Freakin' awesome. Classic LTJ.

    MELVIN STARR - Progress!!

No :( Too much stuff happening at the moment. I'll have to finish this bike at a later time.

    MELVIN STARR - Progress!!

Now that we're living on the coast, and still don't have any enclosed storage (until I sell my other house and build a shed), we have been bikeless for a few months :( When I finish this, I'll bring it and bikes for my wife and son to ride. I want this to be a fun rider that I'm not going to be...

Yes Luke, Boa-Gs with the logos removed, on SunRim Double Wide rims......I think the rims are 50mm wide.

    MELVIN STARR - Progress!!

Made some progress yesterday. Totally different direction than I had initially planned, but times a runnin' out to do the stuff I was planning. I cut the middle tube from the frame  and dug a set of Junior BMX race bars out of my stash. I've always liked the look of Fixed Gear Freestyle...

So sorry for the loss of your friend Luke.

    MELVIN STARR - Progress!!

Aaagh..........spent 2 hours modifying a fork today to fit the BOA-G, then wasn't happy with it, so scrapped it . I'll be using the BMX fork in the pic now. At least I have some motivation back, and a few ideas popped into my head today :)

    MELVIN STARR - Progress!!

Got some tube today for the new top tube. I decided to just plug along, and try and get stuff done before work and on lunch breaks. If I get it finished by the deadline, it'll be painted, not powdercoated. The powdercoater I use is very busy and usually takes around a month to do a frame for me...

    MELVIN STARR - Progress!!

I can't see me getting any further on this build at the moment. Too busy with work, gigs and applying for new jobs, and what free time I do have, I'm spending with with my family and resting.

Looking great Luke!! Can't wait to see it finished. I can't see me getting any further on my build though. Too busy with work, gigs and applying for new jobs, and what free time I do have, I'm spending with with my family and resting.
