    FENIX- Finished!

Sorry guys, but I haven't done a thing on FENIX in a couple of weeks. Everything came to a complete halt with the wife's "honey do" list (it's taking longer then I anticipated)! Hopefully i can have it all done by this weekend... then I can jump back on BOTEN?

I saw images of that wheel when I Googled hubless wheel but I had not seen the "How To Instructions". Really cool! This will prevent a lot of head scratching.

I got to play with the wheel today. I ran into a few hiccups, but I think I can manage to work out the bugs?

(BOTEN) "OUTLAW" ...Withdrawn from the build-off...

After spending 40+ years in advertising, I'm fully aware of the arduous process of filming. Most people are blown away it takes 4 months to a year to make a 30 second TV commercial from concept to finish and usually with a crew of 50 or more people...it's a laborious task. I’m impressed with...

    FENIX- Finished!

I don't have his number, but i can get it for you. Most of his inventory was gone…but there was still a few good things left. It was like a combination Skateboard, Surf and Head Shop all rolled up into one shop…everything to relax your body and inner energy.

Maybe…but I like to support the community shops. He's going out of business and needs the money more than I.

    FENIX- Finished!

I spent yesterday evening running around searching for some small tiny rollers…found these at the local skateshop. I was too premature drilling my holes in the wooden circles, they were a ¼" off. Thats why it's good to use wood instead of metal…wood's cheap!

    FENIX- Finished!

I haven't given the bike much attention this week…but I did managed to cut and drill the trim rings for the hubless prototype.

    FENIX- Finished!

I spend sometime working on the wheels today. I decided to make a wood template before I buy and cut metal.

Yes, the lower section will incorporate a hidden compartment to hold one All-Cell 48w battery?

    FENIX- Finished!

Since I'm going down an unknown path with hubless wheels, I had to rethink incorporating an electric hub motor. My LBS came to my rescue again and donated this mid-drive Stokemonkey. It's small in comparison but can produce about 4 times the torque as the popular hub motors.

I'm just going to start over from scratch and hubless is on the radar.

My new direction with hubless wheels will take me a minute to figure out. I want to keep the same bike, but just make it more edgy!

My rims arrived yesterday. I'm inspired to do something unique with them…maybe hubless rims?

This is not the direction I'm going with…but just for kicks I placed the Micargi rear end on an Electra Rat Rod. I thought it was kinda cool?
