Thank you! The half-link chains are readily available on most of the BMX sites. I needed three to do two bikes. Nothing else that I could find had a decent copper color. And I looked for a long time!

Last couple odds and ends and chain guard mounted. Now to get them out of the garage and down to the beach for final shots. This was happening less than two hours before deadline.

Before and stripping of the chain guard. The one I’m using actually looked worse than the other one. Blew apart the pedals I’m using. Polished them up as much as possible and used new stainless and copper hardware.

Modern chain, in copper. The KMC “copper” ones are a weird bronze color, so modern chain it is. Wire wheeled the adjusters and made 1936 penny washers for them. Chain installed. Adjusters installed. There is a very long way to go in the next 48 hours. I feel like I’m doing everything twice!

Got the tires mounted on the wheels. Got the wheels straight enough to not rub, got the silver king struts polished up and mounted up. Few more details to get back to but feeling pretty good about it.
