Yes, yours is a little more rare because it is Persons made. The manufacturers back then typically sourced the seat and the sissy bar from the same manufacturer. So CRASH is right, back in 1968 the bikes would have a 48 inch sissy bar, but if the seat was a Persons, the bar is made by Persons...

Yes, exactly on the shifter arm.

1967 Schwinn Fastback (Class 1): Completed

One more thing...for the shifter arm, the two buttons on the bottom of the arm are toward the frame on the bike. So those buttons would be on the left when you're looking at it to spray the 5 on top. I hope that makes sense...

    "Dragst-Her" (Class 1)

Wow those came a loooooong way! Did you get the little screws that hold them on with those? I may have some laying around here somewhere.

Use spray glue for this, hot glue isn't the way to go. Joe4407 uses spray glue, 3M I believe, but I'm not sure which kind. To heat the material he just uses a hair dryer. If the material is older or thicker, he uses a heat gun. Be careful because the material gets hot!

    1978 Murray KING KAT - Class 1

Awesome build! I always wanted to find a King Kat to restore, you're lucky to find such a great example. Looks great so far! You may know this by know, but the decals for those are available from Bruce Crawford in Ohio. They are so nice I actually bought a set from him even though I don't...

    1964 Sears Chrome Spyder Bike

Great buy! Can't beat a mint original Troxel solo polo like that! I'm with CRASH, a new Bruce Crawford decal on the guard and that bike will be killer. Would be neat with a Top Fueler too.

    Foremost Swinger bike

Those are the grips it came with, original to that bike. They have P logos in them, that's what is it, for Penney's. I forgot which letter in the name :)

    Foremost Swinger bike

Nice score Jaxon! That was a great little bike. Neat that it was a Foremost badged bike. The weird/interesting thing on the Foremost bikes are the grips. They have a white sleeve in them and the outer grip is the colored grip. They have little J's in them, or maybe it was JP's I forget...

    May of '71 Cotton Picker...Boom!

Nice find! That is a great one, worth the trip and the uncertainty on it  It looks like it might clean up pretty well. Do a little cleaning and I bet you keep it. If you need to get some money back on it, I bet the light and mirror would get you a little for both of those accessories. If...

Huffy Steering Wheel Cap Replacements Found!

Oh, also, before I figured out these are repops, I made some inserts for them. The dragster on the checkerboard background. I just printed them on paper because they mount from under the inside of the cap, not a sticker on top, if that makes sense. If anyone needs some let me know I can print...

Huffy Steering Wheel Cap Replacements Found!

Yes, was nice to find the source! I sold a few I had for $30 at swaps as NOS, but now know I can get them anytime I want. Also, I bet there could be a group buy on them if anyone wanted some, maybe they would sell them for less if someone bought a bunch?
