Done for the day. I'll fine tune everything tomorrow and hopefully get my photos if weather permits. There's more to do, but I'm very happy with matching my painted parts to the tank and fenders so far!

With the stain dry enough to be sticky, I take a rag and start removing everything except what I think should stay.

After scratches and scrapes, I put the other half of my clothes back on and reached for some oil-based wood stain. I used an artist's brush to slop on the stain in various areas, then gave it an hour or so to partially dry.

Everything is put together except for mounting the handlebars and grips. So if push comes to shove I can throw that together and get some final photos in time. I hope to get at least some of the patina matching on the new paint done after I return from Florida. There will still be a few days...
