    Thanks folks! As of now I'm thinking: get lock working straighten what needs straightening overhaul headset modern drivetrain custom saddle heed the advice of @fordmike65 and preserve the crust on the original parts...just leave it be :thumbsup: Might go "California Special", but we'll see...

    recent arrival: 1939/1940 Snyder-built Hawthorne standard twin bar. Picture of the Wards catalog page shown below. Not going to restore this one tho :cool2: I think a friend can get the lock working, and it looks like the paint might be savable...let's hope!

    Cadillac for Him, Elgin for Her

    Nice finds! The Air-Cooled Musselman will have a date code stamped into it. The Cadillac is a pre-WWII Schwinn bike, so S-2 rims wouldn't be a match. The 4265 looks like a registration # and not a serial # to me. ...and the frame on the saddle is downside-up ;)

    Good morning and happy monday :) Trying a new camera app on iphone, has a macro setting. Tough to get a good shot of this glass reflector, but this snap's not too bad I think
