Looking for the year for this men's Firestone.

I'll be going up later this afternoon to haggle with him. He already knows what he wants and what I'll pay, but he just loves to haggle, so after 20 minutes of that. I'll own it. But always a slight chance he won't budge the 1st round. 😆

Yep, that's looks like it except this one has a different seat and no truss rods. Thanks.

Looking for the year for this men's Firestone.

LBS owner has this and asked if I was interested. Told him maybe. Had to do some research. Looking for the year and the rest of the model name, which part has been scraped off of the chain gaurd. Comes with the original front wheel not pictured. And as I looked at the photos I only caught part...

Didn't get to work on it as much as I'd have liked to. Decided on a different front fender. Add the rear Spoke protector as a sort of hubcap. Still haven't found a seat I like. Did settle on the handlebars. Ordered a tank for it as well, should be here by the end of the week.

    What are you listening to?

Back about 30 years ago this was one of 2 of my Frunk songs. Every Friday evening a bunch of from work would go to the bar and when I hit a certain level of drunkness I'd play this and Gene Autry's Tumbling Tumble Weed. T times each and alternating one after the other. Everyone I. The bar would...

    Trike make over.

Yeah, I made a trade with a neighbor last night for an electric start 10hp horizontal shaft Tecumseh engine. Lol. And because I've always been doomed to over do things sometimes, I want to hook that up, and thinking about putting an electric motor underneath it as well. I figure it has 3 wheels...

You are correct just a nut and bolt through the inner Flange. That is the hub roster to the axel andnthe double flat end inside the diff held in place by a clip. Indo like that the cog on the rear diff uses the 4 carriage bolts that hold the diff halves together. Easy replacement if you need to...

Dug up one of the original axels. 3/4" diameter. About 18" long. The hub is so rusted in place I doubt it would need the through bolt anymore.

No problem whatsoever. I'm not an internet snob.

STBO Fashionably Late. (Temp. Name for now).

Got the rear fender and rack squared away until I tear down to paint. The rivets for the fender braces were starting to rust, so replaced them with these 1" cone spikes. Like the look, already got to close when I was walking around the rear, and one of those spikes gave me a nice reminder to...

Absolutely. I've done that in the past and ended up combining elements from several versions. Always eager to learn new stuff.

That's the same brand harbor freight has. Still may end up going that route myself.

I picked up this awhile back and have been looking for an excuse to try it out. If I can find the correct hub.

STBO Fashionably Late. (Temp. Name for now).

While sitting outside in the dark waiting for my neighbors to wake up and get ready for work so I can make noise and use my full range of colorful vocabulary I decided this little lady is going to be a poor woman's 2 speed. Got the donar crank. Need to find the front derailer, cable and I'm...

Started with mounting a 26" middleweight rear chrome fender. Flattened ot the indents on each side of the fender because they do not line up with the rear stays on the 24" frame.or at least as flat as a Cresent wrench and a mixture of English and Ojibwa swear words can get them. Had used a...

Also, Harbor Freight sells a 3/4 or 1" axels with a differential made by Peerless for Go-Karts. About $150 and you'd need to change the sprocket.

    Trike make over.

Part of why I decided to replace the rear-end all together. 2.5 years looking for rear wheels that would work and nothing. 3/4" axel with a differential was a 1st year only (1976) set up. After that they changed to a 15mm straight solid axel and a single larger bottom bar. This is the original...

Here's a couple few closeups Each axel spins freely from the other not the wheel hubs.

    Trike make over.

I will take detailed pictures and post them. There are 2 axels. Both wheels spin freely on their own bearings. And are only propelled by their own 3 speed Coaster Hub. If I'm sitting on the left riding alone only the left hub is ingaged the right side just coasts. Ill have to look closer at the...
