    Trike make over.

You are correct. I went back and forth with the 2 pop-up ads while trying to insert the attachments. I think I deleted and reattach them all 4 or 5 times. Thanks. I'll get that switched. I had the top photo captioned wrong as well. Should be correct now.

    Trike make over.

2 different size front wheels. And a mock-up of the rear axel placement for stance. Fork is from a OCC/Stingray Jr chopper. 1st set of 3 pictures is with a 20" front wheel and 24" Rear wheels. And 3 axel height placements. Axel above the frame will be about 3-4"s lower then stock. Axel in...

    Trike make over.

I think I found a simpler solution. Not so much guess work. I can use a single hub one 1 axel and a freewheel sprocket on the other axel. Still use the duel front sprocket and duel chains. But just 1 shifter for the rear. Should work. Still curious about that gyro brake cable set up though.

    Trike make over.

The 2 pop-up adds are really bumming me out. I'm on a cellphone not a computer so really getting in the way. Anyways. I'm still trying to figure out how to use both rear 3 speed hubs so it will be a sort of posi rear axels. Has anyone ever done what I'm about to try describe? Thinking 3 piece...

    Trike make over.

Ok, I have the worksman almost torn down. The BB's have sealed bearings pressed in. So have to figure a way to remove them without damaging anything if possible. It looks like I'll be cutting the rear end off it to graft onto the Free Spirit rearend. Need to decide if I Weld it underneath...

STBO Fashionably Late. (Temp. Name for now).

Good to know. I think this was only the 3rd bike I tried looking up by serial number. So who knows what I was looking at. This a 24" 1952 scwinn step through and a 1947 26" Monark Super Deluxe Step through. Also had trouble nailing the monark down because the serial number conflicted with it...

Glad I could help. That was the second old bike I got. Helped a lady in town clean and organize her garage and she wanted me to just throw it in a scrap pile somewhere. It was missing the seat and post, front wheel and handle bars and stem.

I'll check in a minute. I like this frame. I'm picking up a late 60's chrome step through Astro flight. Was tempted to enter it, but it'll put me over any budget I could halfway justify.

A quick mock up, and I learned I need to shorten the lengthe of the fork arms a bit. I want the lower rear stays level. I think that is to much seat for the bike. And not 100% on the OCC Stingray handle bars and for sure replacing the stem. Decide on paint and work out which and placement of...

    Trike make over.

Another build I've been contemplating but was having trouble with the original rear axel and differential. But I was given this Worksman 2 person side by side trike and I'm not a 2 person. And it's big, heavy and very awkward to ride especially because it came without seats. I'll hang on to the...

Need a couple of these for sure. They look great.

    Name of these handlebars...

I know. I'll be waiting right next to you. I've got 2 builds that I've been looking for some unique bars for. And these are right there for one of the builds. Very 😎

It's a 1960 Rollfast. I like the twin top bars and it has just enough of a factory rake for the head tube that works perfectly with the forks. I like the stance and the profile. When I put the wheels back on it I'll post pictures.

Well turns out my next build accidentally will fall into this build off perfectly. Took a couple months off from the inter web and just logged in again last week. Anyways this is the initial parts starting point. I've still got to go through the parts sheds to see what other possible goodies are...

    Ladies 1960 Rollfast Chopper

I'd be interested in entering the step through category. Just got back online this week after a couple months self imposed timeout. Thanks for the suggestion..might even meet a deadline for one of these things as long as I keep my ideas within my budget. 😆

    Your towns Cycling infrastructure

We don't have any. But Iowa's just a bit over 1 mile long and about 1/3 of a mile wide. And then a county road with lots of little rises so hard to see vehicles in front of behind and only an 18" shoulder. Or a highway with a 3--4' shoulder. I just make sure to be lit up like a Christmas tree...
