    Peugeot PX10... I think?

It´s a hott bike, that´s for sure. 62cm is a tall glass of water haha I believe you´re right about the serial on the BB making it a 60s bike, but it´d be late 60s with the team color scheme. They didn´t run those colours earlier than, i THINK, 1967?

    Bendix Red Band axle size/tpi?

Yes, they take 3/8 x 24tpi. Wheels Manufacturing makes a nice Cromo one; it´s the #34 model. i´ve used it successfully when rebuilding a Bendix Red Band 2. Some retailers list it as 3/8 x 24tpi, others as 9.5mm x 24tpi. http://wheelsmfg.com/products/hub-parts/all-axles/axle-34.html...

Disc Brake tabs on Old Equipment?

Welds look really nice right there

    Do you ride everyday?

Sealed bearings on the hubs will help alot... And a rust buster chain by KMC. I always wanted to rig something up with a disc version of a Schmidt SON hub to see what I can do on terms of wind power...

Disc Brake tabs on Old Equipment?

If you get bored, alot of guys on the Klunkers and Such Nonsense FB page have welded tabs to the treat, most often with a tube welded from seat- to chain-stay to stiffen it up a bit. The rear has the advantage of being triangulated... I'm subbing to this thread because i'd like to see others'...

    Peugeot PX10... I think?

Dating these old Pugs is very difficult, as is properly IDing the specific model. Based on the lugs, colour scheme, and saddle (if it´s original and if it is a Brooks Professional/ Team Pro) I would date it at ´67 thru ´73. The Reynolds 531 indicates that it is definitely one of the nicer...

    THE 56 CYCLE TRUCK

Test fitting other wheels would be a good first step towards problem solving... Fair question about forks blowing up after welding a disc tab on there.... i think actual riding is a huge factor in this, though. A lot of folks on RRB are building wall-hangers or bikes that they gently cruise on...

    THE 56 CYCLE TRUCK

I´m not looking to scold anyone, but obviously that fork isn´t going to hold up to a disc brake, at least not if the bike is really being ridden. Plus, finding a CT fork these days ain´t easy.... it´d be a shame to ruin one needlessly. OK, maybe I am scolding, a little bit. So, maybe...

    2017 Schwinn Phantom

Re: this new atrocity: Re: the ´79-´82 Phantom Scramblers?? Those were really rad bikes. It´s just a shame that the name wasn´t exactly appropriate. But i don´t know if it qualifies as a ¨desecration.¨

    One of my Worksman builds

Thanks for posting those. I can post pictures. Like, i know how... I´ve done it here for years, and i continue to do it on similar forums.. but RRB keeps crashing out on me, over and over and over again. There´s some sort of glitch occurring in this thread, and i wasted 45 minutes or so...

Dude, I give up. I keep getting a ¨server error" message whenever I try to edit the original post, and it´s just not worth it. Curious ppl are encouraged to click on the links.

    29's on a Worksman

If you have the current unicrown fork, it will fit 29s without any mods. The tear triangle is where it gets tight. I mocked up some 29x2.1 knocked in there. It fit with no Clearance to spare... It wouldn't turn without lots of rubbing. You might be able to run 2.0 but it might be best if you...

    One of my Worksman builds

I'll put'm up this afternoon... My Avatar pic, to be fair, is just a screenshot of the Photobucket ransom note, though LOL. I hate this phone but the lady at the dirtmall told me they're out of unlocked flip phones so now I am stuck with this Turd. Dropped my last shady flip phone in the toilet...

    One of my Worksman builds

Are the pics showing up as broken links or anything out of it just blank? I can see all the pics on the post from my phone, which is weird but what're ya gonna do?
