What have you been riding lately?

I recently took the SHARKRUISER on a meandering parts hunt throughout the depths of downtown Toronto. Next on the road was the '52 CCM that I adopted in July. After a recent wheel shuffle in the herd, this old cream puff ended up with my old faithful Shimano 7 speed. Then a short spin...

    Outsiders Ontario B.C.

The original message reads like a Ride-by Shouting about some kinda secret bike club or maybe it was about riding outside..??? All fired in one long breath like he was being chased or on fire! Maybe they got Him?!! (or Her?!) And that's why there's just been Crickets ever since. I hope he's...

What have you been riding lately?

Thanks Matti, the Specialized is a nice all original (aside from new chain, pads, bearing service, tire swap, grips) cruiser. It turned out to be a nicer bike than expected, so I kept it intact for any interested parties, but not many nibbles. I got the bike partly because it had an...

What have you been riding lately?

My old Raleigh has seen some recent changes and plenty of fun miles this summer. and the Colson has been reliable as ever. Changes may be in the works again soon. I was thinking that the Evans fork could make the Specialized SHARKRUISER more Sharkey, but I am actually hoping to re-home the...

64 Moulton 4 speed and 67 Moulton automatic

Hey Dave, I'm pretty sure that I looked at that pair of bikes in Toronto five, six, seven years ago from the original family. They've been together forever and still are... that's cool. I was always curious what became of them. Nice save. They couldn't have found a better home. Enjoy.

    Before & After Pics

Yes Matti, I use boiled Linseed Oil on everything. I figure this is a good choice of finish as this little piggy is goes off to market. The oil treatment can be maintained or removed to suit the new pilot's vision.

    Before & After Pics

This frame sans seat followed a crusty Phantom into my stable a couple months ago. I was told it was a Hiawatha. Cleveland Welding is my guess. It's a 24" single bar tanker, paint stripped long ago. I scrapped the fubar original fork and kept broken truss rods parts. After a couple of...

Elgin 12" Racer and a 'Now Toasted' Sandwich to Go!

Well, this Toasted Sandwich is ready To Go! I finished up reassembly and took the bike out for a quick burn around the block. I will say it rides like a son of a Birch...or is that Son of a Beach and was also actually very easy on my vintage Ash.🤭 It's not that I ever pined fir a wood bike...

Elgin 12" Racer and a 'Now Toasted' Sandwich to Go!

Shou Sugi Ban! That's the name I was looking for when I mentioned the Japanese Wood burning technique. I think I've found my new favourite thing! I may have gone a little light on the wire brushing, but I'm pleased with the outcome. IDK if it might be possible to take more char off if I chose...

Elgin 12" Racer and a 'Now Toasted' Sandwich to Go!

Thanks King, it will be fun to play with some fun ratty ideas to use for a knob. The trike also features a factory coil sprung rear deck to my surprise. This is the only tricycle that I have and it will be kept with my twin 20,30 sumthin rat forever. It might be fun to find a couple of wheel...
