This is such a nice build. First pic is 💯, lighting, background, and then the bike…. 😍😍😍It looks ready for a showroom floor already. Is it finished?

Today the angle grinder has been put to work. I got a hold of an old 21mm stem that fit. Problem was that it wasn’t a quill. So I took a 22mm quill lower, grounded it down to 21, and slant cut the stem lower. … Next, I’ve been testing ideas for rear wheel mounting and possibly rear...

Great ideas, as usual 😃 That’s really kind of you. Curious to see the stem you’re thinking of. Did Schwinn use 25x1.0 metric threading?

Another photo illustration. I liked the headlight shell from May 30th and 31st, but it makes the bike look a bit front heavy. But by adding a tank with an upward bulge, following the lines of the frame and tie it to the shell.. And using a rear fender. It may balance out. Like a hunching hyena...

The fork is fitted! One issue solved, two new arises, hah! The headset doesn't fit. It looks very similar to a standard threaded 1" 24TPI, but its not... Its the old French threading of 25x1mm. So I need to get another headset. An old French one. Oh, and the stem doesn't fit.. The...

Could be cool to add 'madd' to the tire sidewall

Such beautifully flowing lines. These tires compliments the srame design very well. And you did a very good job cleaning it up

The June 5th fork is in an old DKW Diamant fork that I got. The DKW Diamant was one of the most popular early motorcycles in Sweden. It was made to meet the demand of cheap transportation following the Great Depression. In essence, it was a ‘Diamant’ bicycle, fitted with a 98cc DKW two-stroke...

Thought it could be fun to document not only the actual build, but also my changing ideas. Some seem good at first, but are later scrapped. I'm not sure where this will end. Below are quick photo renditions to try different looks. May 23rd May 26th May 29th May 30th May 31st June 5th...

Remember I said the rear wheel fit in the frame? Well, not anymore… 3” tyre on 65mm rim Compared to 1.95” on standard rim

True, it looks klunker with the white 26s, but I desire a more scavenged look, not 'period correct', so to say. I'm intending to mix new drivetrain and brakes with the old frame and saddle. Thanks for your input! Agreed! I'll work on the fork. Sorry, I don't fully understand 'crude truss...

I’m going with 29er wheels with disc brakes. The size difference is substantial between 1.95”x26” and 2.4”x29”. Rear wheel fitted without any problems, but the fork is too low and the tire rubs.. I’ll have to think of some solution to this. Here only the rear 29er is fitted, and I’ve used a...
