I got it all done and took it out for some photos, it's a really nice riding bike, very stable and fun.

Yeah, the hammered fenders are sweet (I have a set made by Lefol) but I don't think they're "clean" enough for this build

Some great ideas! I don't mind $99 for the flat Woody's, I think they would look great on this bike. I may forgo the rack and just carry a messenger bag. As for a lock, I just found the Shinola leather covered U-lock  I might have to get a Kryptonite and wrap it myself.

Thanks for the comments! I like the Soma bullet light, slick! I'm also thinking of a u-lock mount, since I'm going to need to mount one anyway (this being a "city bike" and all). I was thinking of wooden fenders too, also a rack, but not sure I can find one clean enough to match the bike. The...

Yes, came on it, don't recall a name, I'll double check, may have a stamp, maybe "SR" or something like that.

The Bike: ~2000-2004 Giant Simple Single The Story: I was working on a bike for a friend who wanted a beach cruiser, and I found one cheap on CraigsList. As I was building it, I really fell in love with the clean frame design. I refurbished the one for my friend but I was determined to find one...

PK RIPPER...THIS IS WHY YOU ALWAYS LOOK AT OLD SCHOOL BMX

Without knowing anything about old school bmx I bought a mostly complete Torker for $150. I learned a lot and put another $100 into finishing it. Then sold it for $700 (which bought me the Schwinn Paramount I always wanted). And I thought I did well!

    2014 RatRod Bike Calendar?...

I can certainly send you a high res. I would recommend 300dpi over 150, depending on the printing resolution, the typical magazine is 300dpi. Is the format horizontal or will a vertical work too? I'd like to offer up pics of my Jamis BMX too. Just let me know which pic out of these two threads...

2000s Jamis Boss Cruiser into 26" BMX cruiser

Thanks everyone, it's been a fun build, mostly because it didn't involve a lot of painting. Yes, it's a super fun ride. Comfortable and makes me feel like a kid again since my first bike was a bmx. I'll need to get me friend to take a picture of me doing a stoppie on it. A Laguna is another...
