I added a battery box, and figured while I was at it, I'd add a little something extra.

So, flipping the bracket over moved the light closer to the forks and gives more control for the height. I like it

I like where this is going, looking forward to the build!

I had though about that too, but this isn't a motorcycle headlight (just looks like, I think it was a car spotlight) so it doesn't have holes on the sides to mount it. I might end up making holes just to use that kind of brackets.

Thank you for the kind words, I feel extremely fortunate to be able build this the way I've always wanted to. Here's some progress I made with the front light. I left the package in to show which headlamp I started out with, the insides are perfect to do this with. I did, but I want to keep...

Just came to post an update, I think I figured out the fender situation. Trying to figure out how to mount the headlight

That's cool, but this light is held together by a screw in the back, can't do any cutting back there. One of the reasons I like this light so much is that it takes a small bulb and the glass is separate, makes it a much easier task. I typically use a head lamp since the components are small and...

Little progress, cut the steerer. I'm thinking something creative for the cap would be a nice touch, maybe a clock or a compass Found this headlight at a swap meet, should be pretty easy to convert to LED but I might have to put a battery box somewhere else outside of the shell. I also think it...

Playing with ideas, most likely going with a large motorcycle type light, just want to find one that's self contained and battery powered.
