    Trek precaliber 20 gravity bike

Oh I’m definitely down! Back when I skated I tested a lot of decks for a local company that made downhill boards. That was 10 years ago though, so I have to get my downhill adrenaline mentality back. I have a few parts and some safety gear coming in the mail, but after that I’m going out for...

    Trek precaliber 20 gravity bike

Idk about doing 80 anytime soon, I’m not just gonna “send it” on the first time out. I still have to dial everything in, and test it at the “bunny slope” over, and over, and over again until I’m used to my equipment and then I’ll be moving up to a bigger hill. I’m not too worried about steering...

    Trek precaliber 20 gravity bike

I wrapped the frame in an old bike inner tube, electrical taped it, took a part of a yoga mat, taped that, took an old seat, and hose clamped it as tight as I can get it. It’s super solid, fits my body shape, and makes this bike much safer. Past gravity bikes I’ve used, all your weight is in...

    Trek precaliber 20 gravity bike

I have most of the parts just laying around from other builds, this one is on a really tight budget, but my wife is pretty happy I’m using stuff out of the parts pile I’ve accumulated. I ordered a full face motorcycle helmet the other day, and I may still have my leathers somewhere from when I...

    Trek precaliber 20 gravity bike

I’m gonna run to the hardware store today. I’m probably going to wrap the top tube in a pool noodle or plumbing insulation or something. The steer tube I’m unsure of at the moment, it’s definitely sketchy, but I’m probably going to use some foam for that too. Part of me wants to make it really...

    Trek precaliber 20 gravity bike

Some adjustments required, but I’m gonna call it a day and refresh my brain a bit.

    Trek precaliber 20 gravity bike

Quick mock up. This is how I plan on having it. The seat is just taped on for now. The riding position is extremely aggressive

    Trek precaliber 20 gravity bike

I wanna fill the forks with concrete, or possibly fishing weights and epoxy. I have a layback seat post that I’m going to rig a section of handle bars to support my knees. I may connect car trunk struts from the knee rests to the bar ends for stability, and I’ll see how much it weighs after...

And also, I’m naming her “kerT”.

    Trek precaliber 20 gravity bike

The handlebar position was a bit slow and short for me, so I rigged this up. I need to shim the handlebars, but this bike is gonna be FAST.

    Trek precaliber 20 gravity bike

My youngest kid outgrew her bike, but that doesn’t mean I did! Don’t worry, I hooked her up with a new bike before I mangled her old one lol. Lately I’ve been wanting to get back into gravity sports. I used to be REALLY good at downhill longboarding, and occasionally someone would bring out a...

    Flora, fauna

I accidentally hit one in my kayak when I was testing my motor out. I had it on “autopilot” and I was texting and driving. I didn’t see it float up or anything, but I heard a thump and looked up from my phone and saw there were a ton of carp around so I backed off the throttle and started paying...

Can’t go wrong with an ugly stick! The tip of my perch pole used to be a 7’ ugly stick lol. I still haven’t caught a carp yet though, I see them where I keep my boat, but I never have the right bait lol

It was AWESOME! I was rigged for perch, I was using a 1/32 oz jig head with a small piece of a fake scented worm. I made this rod out of a couple old broken poles. It’s about 2 feet long, but apparently I did a good job because it’s held up to everything I throw at it. I have a ton of light gear...

Had a midlife crisis skate sesh yesterday, and on my break I caught this salmon on super light tackle. Pretty sure it’s a king salmon, the inside of its mouth was black, and it has spots on its tail. I let it go so it can get really big, and someone else can get em later.

    Gravity run

I’m definitely keeping my eyes on this thread. I’ve got a friend building some gravity bikes, and I’m about to start practicing on my downhill longboard more. I’m feeling pretty inspired lately. :)

    Gravity run

Gravity bikes are awesome! I used to ride downhill longboards pretty seriously, and a few guys in my crew ran gravity bikes sometimes. I tried one out that was made out of an old redline frame flipped upside down so the steering angle would be more stable. The seat was hose clamped to the frame...

    Welcome summer

This is truly ridiculous. It never gets even close to this hot here ever. I had a great day in the water though! :)
