Yes i have one if those new belgium made by felt. To me I dont feel as stable on it compared to the old frames. I hope ithers will chime in and give you there opions.
To me all the Old Steel Felt frames feel and look the same. I like the heavy stable ride. Heres four:
The New Steel Felt frames ride different, might be the center of gravity. I cant put my finger on it.
But as you can see i feel all old felt based on same frame and all new based on same...
Frank,
Welcome to the world of constant upgrading for the perfect ride. I love Dynos and Felts. PM if you need help and i can tell you what I have done. Enjoy..... Ron
82mm Surly Rolling Darlly rims
Flame 26x3.0 tires
Dyno 26" frame
Very tight, the rim has to be trued with these fat tires to keep tire from rubbing frame. Also had to put extra washers to move chainguard out, but it can be done and will look SWEET.
I would say the rimsthemselves are worth $50 per. Check out my last post on Felts in Show Me Your Section. I used the rims on my last felt. Those red huns were cheap on the special 1x1 they were on
Felt Corte with 65mm surly rims. Notice the front is an offset 26" rim that i trued to fit in the front. The rear is a 24" with a nexus three speed ( no cable attached yet ).
I got the frames from www.phantom-bikes.com
They are very similar to Felt frames but ride alot lower. It takes a 1-1/8 inch fork. Don't cut your fork yet, it takes a longer fork than the one on a felt. I could use a Girvin fork if you have an extra for sale.... Ron
I just ordered two aluminum frames for my winter projects. Cant wait for them to arrive.
It also has a real tank with a cap.
Got it Thurday, hand polished with $15 bottle of White Diamond on Friday, put together Saturday.
