I have had this chrome cantilever frame hanging around for years so I put it together with a 3 speed Nexus wheelset over the weekend. It's nice when you can put a whole bike together with parts you have lying around and not have to buy a thing.

So I dusted off my old Sierra Grande MB that I bought new in 1985, still in good mechanical condition but the paint is suffering from years of commuting.

I find bicycles are a great way to teach the basics of mechanics without it becoming to overwhelming as it can be with cars.:)

I think maybe it was a Deelite, a rebranded company.

Very cool, my first bike was a Rail type muscle bike but not a Huffy? I remember how hard it was to pop wheelies with the longer frame lol.

Here are the shimano ones I have,not a true acorn but they may be available at your LBS. I have also thought of stripping the anodizing off the aluminum acorn style I have and buffing them.

Do any of you guy's run custom axle nuts on your builds, I like the chrome ones that come with the Nexus hubs or sometimes use these.

I was lucky enough to find some nos fenders my old MX.

Check the pawnshops in your area, I bought one for $125 back in about 2010.

Funny you mention that,the Nirve chopper is the what your bike reminded me of when you first posted it.

I was thinking about that and remembered I would also pull the 7/8 of the seated part up from the seat to help hold the offending 1/8 down?

Your right ,those 26 x3" are a comfy ride.I have a set I run on the purple Kustom Kruiser that has the 24's on it.These 26 x 2.125 have a rap around tread like the maxxix hookworm ,I like them.

They are 2.125 I believe.

It looks like the white w/red one has never been ridden as there is still anodizing on the brake surface of the rims, I found the original stem for mine so I am going to take off the GT stem and maybe get some blue skinwall tires and blue grips. I will see what I have for forks kickin around Matti.
