    :) I use a paint strip heat gun , this warms and reactivates the glue . Don't use a scraper as it will scratch the paint, I just use my thumbnail. After most of it is off I just remove the residue with paint thinner. It probably does not apply to your frame , but some are clearcoated...

    The Shimano Nexus that you have uses a "cog" that is interchangable with Shimano333, old and new Sturmey Archer. I would source your LBS , they should have some. :D

    :D Hi Rat Rods Dad , watch out you don't get hooked on this stuff! Personally, I like to change the rear cogs. This means usually changing the chain length. For this buy a chain removal tool , they are inexpensive. Of course you need some donor chain, I find buying a 22 or 23 tooth...

    Good point Karfer, being deluted you won't get much of a burn but you should always wear rubber gloves and eye protection when handling chemicals and acids. SAFETY FIRST!!

    :) I would think this would work on chains also, but I used to use muriatic acid, 1 part to 3 parts water in a bucket and let it soak for a couple of hours. This is good for rust removal on steel and when it seems clean rinse under cold water and then scrub with a stiff brush...

    :oops: What happened to your buddy was true in my case too, I thought I would clean and wax my wife's Schwinn Breeze. When she came out to see how it looked she asked why the breeze lettering seemed faded! WHOOPS :(

    :) I got some new tires and two LED lights from my wife. My Dad asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I said need some new clothes and something to amuse myself. So he got me a pair of pants and cut the pockets out! :lol:
