He actually is very reasonable. He is also into old bikes and motorcycles so he is a great guy to chat with. I know that I will be working with him often for sure.

    New powder coat buddy

Not a fresh bike find but a found friend in the powder coat business! This guy was super pumped to do my new custom frame and really gets into bikes in general. Color is "LolliPop" red. 3 step process. brushed aluminum base powder, then red candy and then finish with a clear. This image was a...

There's a reason it looks like garbage

I have used old cans as badges and straps. what I do is find a nice straight work bench edge and lightly hammer over a fold around all the edges. It gives it a finished look. Example would be the beer can tank straps on the bike below...

    Moddedco ?

Well surprisingly enough the frame arrived way before the estimated delivery time. As you can see by the packaging it was very poorly boxed for such a long journey. There are tons of scrapes and dents and most of the frame parts were exposed from the box at one time or another. We will of course...

    Moddedco ?

Well first review would be that the seller contacted us immediately after payment asking which color we wanted and said he was boxing it up yesterday. That sort of communication is always a good sign of a good seller.

    Moddedco ?

I have one of these frames heading into the shop. Does say shipping from Columbia. Not sure what to think of them... Looks like the dropouts on both styles could use some re-designing.... I suppose its a very cheap starting point. Bike is being built up for a friend when it arrives so if anyone...

    Lets Talk Stretch Value

The stretch bikes are some of my favorite bikes to ride. The "ride" can very in comfort depending how the bike is set up of course. I have built a few that I felt had great style but were extremely uncomfortable to ride and then I have built them that I could ride all day long with no worry at...

    ideas for a wooden tank?

Clamped a piece of 2x6 to the frame, traced frame opening onto wood and jig sawed rough shape. Then filed and sanded edges round and covered with fabric..... Surely not as beautiful as the above posted but it fit my needs well.

    Scrap pile

That was my exact plan. Was going to spray it with starch and then never wet. Not that I will be out in the rain ( on purpose ) but sometimes it happens.
