I have used old cans as badges and straps. what I do is find a nice straight work bench edge and lightly hammer over a fold around all the edges. It gives it a finished look. Example would be the beer can tank straps on the bike below...

Well surprisingly enough the frame arrived way before the estimated delivery time. As you can see by the packaging it was very poorly boxed for such a long journey. Well first review would be that the seller contacted us immediately after payment asking which color we wanted and said he was boxing it up yesterday. That sort of communication is always a good sign of a good seller.

Clamped a piece of 2x6 to the frame, traced frame opening onto wood and jig sawed rough shape. Then filed and sanded edges round and covered with fabric..... Surely not as beautiful as the above posted but it fit my needs well.
