My vote is no , it is not. Especially if you plan to motorize it.

Don't get Pissed ..I need to cut a dyno frame . Help !!

Is the tank because you are motorizing it? For a 1/4 inch I'd be modifying the tank with a hammer and a block of wood. Assuming it is metal.

Nickel Silver for Brazing with Model RR Nickel Silver Track ??

I'm hoping with all the weldors here we might have someone who knows about this stuff.. I work in a model railroad store and we toss a lot of used track..I've got quite a few pounds of nickel silver rail and was wondering if it was worth keeping to try and braze with....the local scrap mill...

    Mountain Bike Warning Sticker?!

If You substituted "Stealing" for "riding" you'd have another great sticker! Warning This post is not for reading..Such use may result in fatal injuries, death, or worse.Read and comment at your own risk.

NEED HELP ASAP PLEASE - Cleaning Chaingaurd for Murray Sears Spyder

I'd be very tempted to mask off the decal/silkscreen and polish the rest. Don't apply your tape directly to the fragile lettering however. Tape a piece of paper over them. You can spot polish with a rag wrapped around a Q tip but it is tedious and you still have to be very careful of stuff you...

Rusty Screamer Found but did not buy.

Wow..Poor thing. Another Screamer with normal handlebars instead of butterflies...Were they shipped this way in some cases? If he'd move the decimal place over I'd jump on it and try to save it. But at $250, it makes no sense even parting it out .

    Little bent. Fixable?

Lots of gentle taps at the bend area , not enough to dent or move the metal, will tend to let it relax back into shape if you also preload it in that direction with the methods above. "Use a few c clamps to tighten it down, leave it for a day or so. Metal, for the most part has a memory. " The...

    Swing bike building

Lots of the guys who have youtube swing bike videos are doing multi speed. Although I'm not sure if the extra speeds can really be used much with the bike in swing mode. I'm planning a SB build, and like you , I have an original. I'm thinking a larger size myself, as the one in my avatar is a...

    Cut, replace, or wait?

I'm thinking the shorter seat post and sliding the sissy bar down a little will be enough, looking at the picture of the young lady riding..Especially if Dad teaches her to pedal with the ball of her foot instead of the arch area. As far as the bars, you can drop them some by tilting them back...

    Cut, replace, or wait?

Did you have either replated? Don't cut if you did, swap them out. Otherwise......you gotta have a shorter post around somewhere..and repop sissys are a dime a dozen. I've got one off a Micargi Hero Girl's bike I might swap with you and I'm sure lots of guys closer to you might as well.

    Schwinn Texas Ranger Special value?

You'll need to tell us more....condition is key to values, almost as much as pictures and an accurate knowledge of what model, year, version, etc of the bike are. Post a pic or a link to a pic online of the bike and I'm sure you'll get some better responses. And WElcome!!

You have got to be kidding.. Seriously??

Yup, cleaning the chain is on the to do list... but the crunch is in the same pedal position each time, so I suspect the BB is most likely in as good a shape as the wheel bearings were (Preloaded about 1/2 a turn!!????$!) I think I MIGHT need to return this to the scrapyard guy I got it from...

Are Micargi Hero parts worth using??

Thanks, Slowriderz! Ilooked up the parts separately and I did ok. Not spectacular, but I didn't lose my shirt anyhow. I think this one will be blown apart pretty soon! MBBO here I come!

Are Micargi Hero parts worth using??

I picked up a Micargi Hero Girl's "lowriderr" banana bike this weekend.. Mainly because I liked the looks of the springier and tires/wheels.. The bike is in pretty nice shape with just a few dings and bright chrome. I'm looking at certain parts for an adult ridden swing bike build.. Are these...

    Final Rankings - Voting Results

To the zero vote bikes: I wanted to vote for almost every one of ya...but didn't have enough votes!! I'd love to own any of those "no vote misfits" and you guys should be proud of what you've done. Special mention goes to the MASH bike. Well done theme bike to honor the veterans...Round of...

You have got to be kidding.. Seriously??

I rode the bike this morning in the rain...figured I couldn't hurt it....and I do hope they are plastic covered....Yup, 3 pc cotterless. I'll be popping them off and investigating further as the BB is crunchy under load, I discovered. For a $5 bike I guess I can't complain. A bit of elbow...

    Canadian Shipping Costs Are Crazy

You think Canada is bad, you should try shipping to Australia. I ship out little trinkets and model railroad engines all day long and the international shipping rates kill most any non USA business. Yet I can get a pair of prescription glasses sent here from China with free shipping for $25...
