    VOTE HERE! - TRADITIONAL

I voted! Lots of cool bikes, but I was able to narrow it down to 6-8 fairly easy, but then it got difficult. I wish I could have joined the fun this year, but my grandson was staying with us for several weeks, we had my daughter's wedding and a new position at work just proved too much for me...

    Interesting Huffy prototype

I think Surly makes a flask that attaches to a water bottle mount. That would look perfect on this bike!

    Interesting Huffy prototype

No problem! I just thought it was a cool frame that had a really nice feel to it. You had mentioned a little bigger frame once, so when I saw it and the price was right, I thought you might like it. The longer wheelbase and styling just seemed like something with tons of potential that could be...

    baby seat

I found this at the Links and Kinks show and thought it was just a crazy piece of bicycle history. It is German made. I think I am going to mount it on my mountain bike, put a lifelike doll in it and go tear up the trails and see what responses I get.

    Interesting Huffy prototype

I wish I would have bought it! I'd like to hear more about the bike from Bryan sometime. It's a cool looking bike.

Not a barn find, but a garage find....

1979 Honda CB750K 4cyl with 1607 original miles. It hasn't been started in probably 15 years. The inside of the tank is clean, but I suspect there might be a little build up in the bottom of the tank where there is about an inch of gas. I don't want to start it till I know for sure. Haven't...

    Another Rocket

Not the Monark type, but a 1961 Harmony Rocket H59 matched up to a 1950 Gibson BR-9. A match made in tone heaven...

    40s CWC build

Re: Prewar Schwinn build After another look, I think your bike has a curved bottom tube where mine was straight. I think that makes yours a bit older and makes finding a tank a little more difficult. :D I'll keep my eyes out for you on a prewar tank frame. The only thing I have is a '41...

    40s CWC build

Re: Prewar Schwinn build Nice looking bike Lewie...I agree though, it isn't a Schwinn...although that is a killer badge. The front fork and trusses look Schwinn though...The frame is a CWC built frame. Stretch is probably right...Roadmaster or something along the lines. Compare it to my...

Any of you have sentimental bikes?

I buy and sell a few bikes, but there are a few that I seem to hang on for various reasons. I have a '70 Schinn Lil Tiger that I build for my grandson. I have two younger kids who have yet to get married and start familes, so I figure that Tiger has a nice future ahead of it. My '64...

    Cleaned up the HiFi

Seems whenever I have the time to ride, the trails are closed for being too wet. Summer seems to finally be here and we're doing our first group ride on Tuesday evening. I got out my Fisher HiFi 29er today. Adjust the derailleurs, put on new grips that I won at a bike show and pumped up the...

    Dayton Show - June 22

There were a lot of people at the Cincy show who say they are coming to the Dayton show. It should be a great turnout!

    Firestone 500- Newbie

Huffy built Firestone 500 II. That is a PERFECT start into vintage bikes. In fact, it was my first vintage bike too! Yours is a little more complete and better shape than mine was, but it looks like the same year. Mine is a '64. Have a look at the serial number on the rear dropout. First digit...

    what yr firestone

Color doesn't help much, but my Firestone Super Cruiser is maroon with red tins and it is a '52. Posting the serial number would help as well. Here is a link to my Firestone if you want to compare notes. viewtopic.php?f=6&t=72276

    Fleetwood special

Nate...that frame looks killer. What's your plan for wheels/tires? On my flat black frame last year, I went with heavy duty chrome wheels and blackwalls and I think it looked killer. I'd like to see how a 24X3 looks stuffed in there without fenders. I think I have a set of 24X3 cream tires...

Cincinnati Rat Riders BIG Bicycle Event This Saturday!!!

Cleaned up a few bikes yesterday. I had dinner with a couple of RRBers last night and they plan on attending as well. I had a blast at this event last year. Nice family friendly event with tons of bikes.

    ◘◘◘◘◘ \/\/estern ƒlyer Šuper ◘◘◘◘◘ first post-BO mod

Re: ◘◘◘◘◘ \/\/estern ƒlyer Šuper ◘◘◘◘◘ I wonder how many variations of trusses there are for that fork? I have seen it with the straight lower trusses like yours. The ones on my Western Flyer bend forward and the other day I picked up a fork with the trusses that stick out to the side...
